Really
I should be more careful about what I write, and open my eyes then.

Either I missed it or no one else noticed it.
Thank you for removing email addresses being sent out when replying to someone. It made it too easy for some people to spam responders.

Opps, must have missed it, that’s why I carefully worded my post.

In the project: Applying Robustness Analysis on the Model–View–Controller (MVC) Architecture in ASP.NE, using UML, there is an error in the HTML which causes Word to use the Wingdings font for all the project after the sentence "I know you’ll love it." The HTML fragment in error is:
Isn’t it beautiful that all of this robustness analysis leads us to a design where we can define our first set of detailed class diagrams? I know you’ll love it. J
There should be a before the . IE is so forgiving that it ignors the error. Word on the other hand is not so nice. Other browsers may also have a problem.

It seems that some of countries, specified in My Settings page of this site, either are not saved to database, or are not displayed correctly after saving. Problem appears when the country name (more precisely -- the content of value attribute of <OPTION> element) contains a comma.
How to reproduce. Login to this site and go to My Settings page. In the Where do you live? dropdown list, select a country containing comma, like "Moldova, Republic of" or "Virgin Islands, British". Click Save. The result is unexpected: in the next confirmation dialog, the country is not what we just selected.
Environment: Windows XP, Internet Explorer 6.0 or Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.3.

Hehe. Funny.
But I am serious. We are working in one company. When I want to rate their messages it's not working. It say's voted 5 but doesn't have any effect. Maybe this is done in purpose to prevent bogus voting.

Have you tried to [Refresh]? If refreshing fails, it might be something IE cache related.
IE menu: Internet Options -- Temporary Internet Files [Settings] -- "Check for newer versions of stored pages".

My guess is the company is using a NAT router/firewall, so everyone inside the firewall appears to be coming from the same IP. The board may be ignoring your votes because they come from the same IP as the message was posted from.

You are right. So does this mean I can't rate them.

I think it is a good idea that [modified] comes up in the subject line if a post is modified, but would it be possible to not have the [modified] tag come up as the subject line to a post which has replied to the modified message.
Would it also be possible to extend the email reply function so that the person who started a thread has the option to be emailed a message everytime someone puts a reply on the thread.
Thanks for considering these suggestions,
Respectfully,
Bob X

The modified stamp is inserted into the message before you modify it, just edit that out.

I may be able to edit it out, but many people won't. It then gives the impression that a lot of people changed their posts, when only one person really did.

It may be handy to have a new 'message type' to identify posts in thread, especially in articles boards: this type would indicate a bug report. It could help to localize problems. It could also give an indication about the quality of the article.

I'm really surprise the way ranks are given in Code Project, i've stopped trusting it any more. Mine is "Gold" but it grew from bronze.
I'm providing a url where just posting a single message guy's rank is Gold

Can anybody clarify me on this?

He's been a member for 3 years and has posted a message - so that's enabled his status level, and each year adds one level - thus he's gold.

Membership status calculated as follows:
1-4 articles posted = Bronze. 5-14 articles = Silver. 15-24 articles = Gold. 25+ articles = Platinum. Each 500 messages posted adds one level, and if a user has posted a message then each year of membership adds 1 level. Bonus levels not valid for Gold members. Bronze is awarded at the beginning of the first 500 messages posted instead of the end.

The real question though about membership which is not described: -is silver awarded at the beginning or end of your second year of membership.
