I don't like websites, as well as user interfaces . I prefer working in the background, system programming, or network development and so on.
But now I'm helping a friend of mine managing a community website .
Don't try it, just do it!

What are you doing here, on a website?

I don't like websites for application purposes. For example, I preffer an Outlook like app. instead of any web mail.
I think the browser "boxed" and "paged" style is clumsy and response slow for intensive use.
Web browsers are good for reading hipertext, for navigate across textual info and multimedia in a newspaper or magazine like style.

What do you manage?
Was I supposed to do something after I set it up?

My goal is to be sucessful and listen my teachers. I always was a smart child. I have a special goal this year. A goal means that you have a new one to have. A goal is special for you and your family. I love making goals every year. Last year I wanted to be live on tv. But this year goal is better than last year goal. I hope my goal come true. You should always have a new one every year. My goal will come true. I always knew that I was happy and excited child. My goal will be a good one for me this time.

But some way and another, my company is now hosting websites, so I manage IIS computers, DNS, email servers, SQL etc .... The total list of websites is about 80. Some ASP.NET 1.1 others 2.0 others only HTML (Love those)!
Hate them! Want out!

For somebody who manages 50+ sites, you'd think you would have your own website listed in your Bio, so people can see the quality of your work.

Its really amazing that you have developed 55 and then now are maintaining 55 sites. Its difficult for a person to develop and then remain involved in operational activities of even a single web-site.:->
However you are a source of inspiration.

definatly i donot maintaine all the sites myself all the time we have development and operation team and we have our own webserver whenever there is some issue we fix it.

How many websites do you manage effectively? I have several personal sites with domains that I am doing a very poor job of managing. Although, in my defense, I have at least made one update this decade.

If you are responsible for 50+ websites, and a few of them go down once in a while, you'd need more phones and pagers than that
