Hi,
I am trying to figure out a way to provide a virtual path to work in the following way:
1. Request is made to server, e.g http://www.myserver.com/clientname/
2. 'clientname' is stored as the profile name
3. All subsequent requests are returned from the http root (So http://www.myserver.com/clientname/Default.aspx would actually be http://www.myserver.com/Default.aspx)
4. Content is personalised according to the 'clientname' stored.
Now I have the personalisation working and I have a VirtualPathProvider returning a simple text message if the path is virtual but I cannot figure out how to separate the 'clientname' out to store and how to get the 'real' path of the requested file (Paths could also have sub-directories)
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Sir,
I have 20 records in the database and two controls in the datalist namely 1 labels , 1 linkbutton , .When the form executes the datalist shows 20 records so each record will show 2 things as according to two control in the datalist. Now the problem is when i click on the linkbutton of the particular record I am unable to find that record's label control text.I mean at the click event i am taking a string type variable in which i want to store that record's label control text.
Thanks and Regards

you can use file upload control to upload file .prompt client for upload file .
if you are taking input than take it directly in textbox or textarea controls.

if i dont want select any item from dropdownlist what should i do?????????

you simply don't select, in that case, add an extra empty item to the dropdownlist and make it the default when the page loads....
I hope this helps...

That is true in that case it will search only for the textbox value which is what you want isn't it?

If you didn't pick any item from DropDownLost then search gonna be only from textbox parameter.
Note: set breakpoint in IF statement and by F11 look what's going on when u do not select any item from dropdownlist

You can add the setup and deployment project to your solution in Visual Studio. It might be a little extra work for some of this - You can create your own custom installers for anything that doesn't have built in support.
You can also look at InstallShield[^] itself, if that is your preference.
