VALIDATION, POSTBACK JernejR8-Jun-06 22:25 JernejR 8-Jun-06 22:25  Hi How you determin which button was clicked on the webform. I have 3 buttons on the form, each cause postback. I want to determin which button was clicked in the Page_Load method. Problem is that validation is fired in every postback, but I want validation to be fired only when button "save" in clicked. So I have to enable validation control in Page_Load method but I dont know which button was clicked Any sugestion ? By validation, do you mean by using asp.net validators? Because then you can set the property "CausesValidation" to false on the buttons you don't wish to trigger validation. Otherwise if the validation happens "manually" - serverside, could you not do it in the "save buttons" clicked-event instead of page-load? Thirdly - could the validation be handled via JavaScript, in which case you can do it prior to post-back?. Lastly if none of the above suggestions work, you can do it the old fashion way. Then in IIS right click your application and go on the tab ASP.NET (last tab usualy). You have to use 1.1.xxxx ASP.NET version. What I want to do, is when it is printed, no rows are cut off and are instead pushed to the next page and also to have the header of the datagrid repeated on each page. Seems simple enough... but I can't quite get it any ideas? Let me explain it again, suppose we have a datagrid which contains around 2000 records. If we gonna print all these records it would take many pages. now What I want to do, is when it is printed, no rows are cut off and are instead pushed to the next page and also to have the header of the datagrid repeated on each page. To draw a report you click on a button on the first page and the second page will pop-up displaying the report. When I test this on my machine it works fine, but someone using a different machine from a different location complained that it does not work. When they click on a button to draw a report, both the pages shut down. The pop-ups are enabled on their machine.
