Which version? They seem to have way too many products and versions.
Thanks

I use the corporate edition at work, but I'm sure the Home Edition works perfectly well.

Apparently not. I just spoke to Symantec. For Win 2000 Server I have to get their enterprise version. I tried to explain that I was using it at home on a single PC and am a developer and need it only for experimental development and so on and so forth. But Symantec would not budge and said if I have Win 2000 Server I must buy a corporate licence and that they can offer no discounts to single at home non business users. Jerks!!!!
Thanks

I am pretty sure that the latest version of Norton should work.

You know, showing up in a Microsoft oriented forum asking for Linux programming tips reminds me of that scene from "Attack of the Killer Tomatos" where a guy went undercover as a tomato but eventually blew his cover when he asked for ketchup at dinner...
Seriously, though, you might try poking around at www.slashdot.org.

It was a very useful article. In fact I found it so useful I dusted off my printer and created an analog form of it

Can someone tell me if (and how) there is a way to take an App that usually runs in a DOS window and make it run in the background - or if not in the background, make the minimized window hidden from the user (I realize that you can set the App to run as 'minimized' by using the 'Properties' option, but I would like to eliminate any presence of the app in the 'Start' bar).
Any advice - thank you much!!!

You could make it a service. There's a couple of articles here on codeproject about that...

If you could be a little more specific as to what you want then I'll see what I can do.
