I am displaying images from FTP server in a Datagrid(Image name and Image)
When user click selected Image name it will download
Now I want to give code to only once the user download that file after that the image will Inactivate.
Like When we recive a new Mail it will in bold letters after opening the mail that will inactivate.
How can i write code for this Plz

look the example of email u r giving, nothing gets inactive u can still activate it, it just changes colors because of different colors for active links and visited links.
As for ur problem on the on_click event of whatever the user clicks to download the image, take a value in Session["Download"] = img_name;
and on page_Load check if Session["Download"] = img_name, if yes then turn image enabled = false; and flush the Session to "" so the user can do this again.

I hope atleast this time somebody will be able to help me...
I have to write some data in excel sheet. I am able to write other datas, but when I m trying to write a numeric value with a leading zero it is trucating it as the cell format is general.
Anyone aware how can we change the cell format to text programmatically using asp.net.

what I have written is not easy to understand but u have to do it on ur own I dont have that much time, Its a snippet of one of my programs. This will automatically write to the excel file regardless of the field type since it checks each field at runtime.

Thank you for your respond..I know how to use the application and session state variables and i have used the following code :

I would like to call a method of my code from within XSL but it does not seem to like the presence of the '%' character inside the xsl.
Basicly the XSL loops through an XML writing url's into links on a menu...
I have a method that when passed a URL encrypts the query string portion and spits it back out as URL+encoded QueryString.
I would like to call this method using somthing akin to <%EncodeQueryString(<xsl:value-of select="url" );%=""> in the xsl for-each loop so as to output the urls with encoded queriers.
Could some one please point me in the right direction with regards getting ASP.NET script to execute from XSL?

I am working on ASP.net /VB.net v1.1.
I am opening an excel using Interop services – and this web application is
working fine on my local machine but when I put the same application on
server its giving me this error.
“Server execution failed”

I searched all over MSDN and google , no help or good article , even

I have a requirement to add one line of text automatically to the end of the all web pages in a web site in IIS (all virtual directories under the web site). I am trying to write an HttpModule using ASP.NET/VB.NET which can do this. Do anybody have some sample code to share?

I'm actually quite new to ASP.NET programming. The program that I'm building now is related to coding an ASP.NET web service for my Pocket PC.
My question is, can ASP.NET run on Pocket PC? If yes, do I need any special applications or just Visual Studio 2005 could do the job?
Another problem thats bugging me is the fact that the screen for Pocket PCs are smaller, so do I need to set a specific height and width for my website, or do all Pocket PCs auto shrink the website to fit their screens?

No. ASP.NET is a server side technology and is designed to run on a server system.

Try some websites on your PocketPC and see. I tend to use the low graphics version of websites if available. Some services, such as gmail, detect if it is being used via the browser on a PocketPC and adapt themselves to the smaller screen and lower bandwidth availability. Some ASP.NET controls will adapt the HTML they render to the smaller formfactor, but it still requires some work from you to get it working well on all systems.
