LPTSTR PathFindFileName(LPCTSTR pPath);
Also you have to include shlwapi.h and link with shlwapi.lib .
You can look for the documentation of this function in MSDN etc.
this is this.

First :
You need to tokenize it upto last "\\" so that you can get only the file name.
Second:
If you need to search from the directory then se:
WIN32_FIND_DATA structure and then use FindFirstFile FindNextFile

Here is the another way to get file nane from path.
-Get file path
-Reverse the string
-strtok(path,"/");
-Reverse the resultant string.
Knock out 't' from can't,
You can if you think you can

Use SetRange or SetRange32 methods of the spin control.

For example do like this
m_feEditValue.SetRange(6,23);
m_pSpin = (CSpinButtonCtrl*) GetDlgItem(IDC_SPIN1);
m_pSpin->SetBuddy(&m_feEditValue);
m_pSpin->SetRange(6,23);
And also you should handle onvscroll event for spin, and onchange edit event for edit control.
handle both events then you can do this.

I think following code will help you.
Where you want to send enter or new line put this code.
SendDlgItemMessage(IDC_EDIT1,WM_CHAR,(WPARAM)VK_RETURN,0);

I want to move my code ( using Visual Studio 6) to use the Platform SDK . I have not worked with this before .
My current project is a MFC based application project . DO the MFC files also come from Platform SDK or they still use the existing VC98 files ?
Engineering is the effort !

no..
u have to use the mfc files that comes with the Visual Studio.
To use the Platform SDK only thing u have to do is to set the Directories( tools->option->Directories )
put the directories of the SDK as the first entry.

I assume you mean move to using the plain Win32 API? VC apps already use the Platform SDK headers and libs.
You're going to have a lot of work if you do that, since you won't have all the UI and utility classes MFC provides. I would recommend using WTL for your UI, doing UI at the API level is tedious and error-prone.

Plateform sdk... you can consider upgrade to normal MFC or api function there

Is there an API for changing the default audio playback device? I had no luck digging through MSDN and my current solution involves registry grovelling.

I haven't tried this but only read about it.
You can look for RtAudio if this helps.

Thanks, but unfortunately this doesn't have what I'm looking for. Currently I think that perhaps Microsoft decided not to have an API for this as they consider changing the default audio playback device programmatically as something which could be abused.
