Hi
My question:
I have created my custom file format. And i set “Summary information” stream and “Document information” stream to my file. Then in Microsoft Explorer on File Properties/Summary tab shows only Title, Subject, Category, Keywords, Comments, Source, author, Revision Number property. But if i change file extension (for instance) to “.doc” or “.ppt”, File Properties/Summary tab shows all properities such as word count and pages.
How it should be made, so File Properties/Summary tab to show all propeties for my file extensions?

It appears that bit field struture has been removed from .NET compliant languages. I'd like to see some coverage on that topic.

Not sure what you mean. Do you mean bit flags?

Familiar with this C structure?
typedef struct {
int field_1 : 1;
int field_2 : 4;
} MyBitFieldType;
It's quite handy. Not sure it still exists in C++/CLI though.

Interesting. I've never heard of that. Learn something new from CP everyday.

I'm not sure what the c++/cli construct is, but in C# you can do this.
[Flags]
private enum FlagEnum
{
Foo = 0,
Bar = 4,
Baz = 2,
Qux = 1
}
|
|
|
|
|
You probably are right; I only see this construct in VB and C#.
Anyway, Flags Enum is about bit-field masking, AND/OR type of things. But in a C bit-field structure, you can declare a field of any type and of any number of bits in size.

You are probably looking for either the System.Collections.BitArray[^] class or the System.Collections.Specialized.BitVector32[^]class.
The BitArray manages a compact array of bit values, which are represented as Booleans, where true indicates that the bit is on (1) and false indicates the bit is off (0).
The BitVector32 provides a simple structure that stores Boolean values and small integers in 32 bits of memory.

Hi,
What I require is some idea / hint how to do this.
a program to pass a string(template) to a C++ function. It should parse the template and call function function_A or function_B.... etc with the parameters.
x = "some value";
// x is created and defined within the C++ program
// similarly y and z are variables within this program.
string = ".... {if(x=="value1") function_A(x,y,z) else function_B(x,y,z)} .... ";
// string may be read from an external file...
.... denotes that this could appear anywhere within the string and there could be multiple appearance within the same string.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Vikash

Hi,
I've always had a problem listening mu musics. It was that some of them had been recorded too loud and some ...
Is it possible to write a tool to get information from a file(I don't know if it is possible at all) or check the waveout or wave in to control sound output volume? so if we select 30, all files will be played this loud.
I hope, with this english, some one realize this!

Wow, very interesting. Do you know how exactly it is doing that?
Thanks.
P.S.I did not give you 1.

The Osmosian Order wrote: Now if you add or subtract the same number from all the samples it will still sound the same, only louder or softer (unless you've lost a sample because it went to zero, or you clipped because you exceeded the limits). I'm pretty sure that's essentially what the Apple thing does: it just looks at the average of all the samples and then adds or subtracts a number from them to "normalize" the average volume to some pre-determined number.
You'd want to multiply by a constant instead of adding. Otherwise your sound waves would have vertical discontinuities in the waves instead of just being twice as tall.

Thanks again. very interesting that sound is like that. perhaps you have been working on a game and decided to play sound working directly with sound cards
I had not the chance to see iTunes, but from what I saw above I thought it is probably done while converting a file to another format. Now do you think if it is possible to write something like a filter, (Perhaps a driver), that does this normalization on the fly? So using that we'll be sure that we can sefely play a sound list, and the output sound has a boundry that will not exceed that and we'll not awake an asleep child with our mp3 musics .
It might be good to use a similar hardware even for our TV's, If there is not any already, so that we'll not engage changing volume all the time moving from one chanel to another.

Yes. There're multiple winamp plugins that do normalization.

Hi, I'm not sure which discussion board to put this request on but...
As an owner of a iPAQ, I really wanted to try the ToDoListPPC application posted here (http://www.codeproject.com/netcf/TodoListPPC.asp?msg=1511999#xx1511999xx).
However the source that is posted has not been updated and is missing a reference dll. The author has posted a link to his own server where an updated file can be obtained. But just my luck the server is down.
Anyways, if anyone has the updated source and can provide it, please reply to this message.
Thanks,
Rick

I don't think that'll help you. He also wrote he sent this to CP and the article was updated on the same date so I assume the downloadable code is the same as it was on his homepage. Beside the missing reference (which only causes a warning - no error) some compile errors are contained which don't make any sense to me. Somehow also some resource files are corrupt.

Hi all,
I wanted to use AS400(green screen) program to access as it is without changing anything in AS400. I heard that it is possible with Host Integration Server 2004. Is it true? If so could anybody tell me how to configure and setup Host Integration Server 2004 to acchieve this task?
Thank u all in advance.
