As far as sending data is concerned you can try this method.
Supposing you have two classes A and B with the dialogs.Then you want to pass values from A to B.
So declare a pointer of class A in B
A *a;
Now in class A : -(where you are calling the second/child dialog)
B *b=new B();
b->a=this;
b->DoModal();
Now in class B you can access values of A using this "a" pointer.
Somethings seem HARD to do, until we know how to do them.

i find that timer is taking windows co-ordinates.
So what you are saying is that the value displayed is wrong then? If so, you may need to check the code that calculates the time.

what i mean is i get the points regarding the maoindialog box to locate the country.but when i wnat to compare this points to set the time in child dialog. i keep getcursorpos(point);in that iam getting points wrt to window .
so they both r not equal so that time is not dispalyed
