You would basically need to rewrite it - and I can't think of any reason why you would want to do that...

Yep, there is no conversion tool for this. Why on earth you would want to do this is beyond me.
Your basically throwing away your very nice set of hand and power tools and going back to making primitive objects by smashing your raw materials with rocks.
You have to start a new VB6 project and rewrite the entire project by hand!

As other friends mentioned there is NO WAY to convert it back to vb6 and you MUST rewrite the project.
But (as long as you did not mention the reason WHY you need to convert it BACK to vb6) I can give you the idea (if it fits to what you need) to export your VB.NET project as a COM and use it in vb6. Remember that you still need .NET Framework Runtime to run your project.

frmnew = New splashform
frmnew.ShowDialog()
frmnew = New mainform
frmnew.ShowDialog()
End Sub
anymore
in splashform you must you control called Timer
Timer.Enabled=True
Event for timer
private Sub timer1_tick(...........)

The answer is still no. You cannot change the title text of the window. At least not easily and not visually appealing.

hi hafiz,
just use the recordset object to open the database table and open the required record using proper query in the recordset.
then you can modify the values in records set and update it using the recordset object.
hope this works.

Hi
Currently i am using Crystal Reports in my project. But now i want to move to SQL Server Reporting Services 2005. I explored it a little like "Report Builder" and creating reports using "Business Intelligence Studio", but my problem is different. May be I am getting worng approach
I want to use DataSet that are created and placed in My VB.NET project for SQL Reports. As reports created using "Business Intelligence Studio" are placed on Database Server, but my Application Server is different from Database Server.
Now my actual problem is that i want to populate Report residing on Database Server with Dataset that is on my application server, because i populate Dataset on some conditions from user inputs.
Please help me to solve my problem. I m not much experienced with Reporting.
Thanks

hi all
its been a while since i've worked on a VB program and im currently facing difficulties with the following code.I'm trying to create a diagram with nodes which you can manipulate and enter data.So far the program creates the nodes with numbered text by dragging the node and moves them by right click them.I want to be able to go back and delete any node i want plus to be able to access the nodes(enter text,extra form with info that the user will give)
If you can provide pointers or links to example code or literature, it
would be appreciated.
just copy-paste the code on a class module and a form with an image control-index property must be set to 0

There is no way to tell unless you try to access the root directory of the drive.

I used to see this demonstration from AppDev training CD about VB.Net on the section of working with error handling. They test with the diskette in the drive. I think you should learning to use error handling[^] in vb.net then you would be able to learn what you need.

My purpuse is:

' Start to open file in My document folder by default.
.InitialDirectory = System.Environment.GetFolderPath( _
Environment.SpecialFolder.Personal)
.Filter = "All Files (*.*)|*.*|Microsoft Access Database " & _
"(*.mdb)|*.mdb"
.DefaultExt = "mdb"
.ShowDialog()
Dim dlgResult As DialogResult
If dlgResult <> DialogResult.Cancel Then
' Clear the list box to get the new itmes.
lstFilesList.Items.Clear()
txtBrowse.Text = .FileName
lstFilesList.Items.AddRange(.FileNames)
End If
End With
Catch ex As Exception
MsgBox(Err.Description.ToString, , "Error")

Hi,
I am automating MS Word using VB .Net . What I want is that I want some text to be inserted on the word document that I have opened. Once I have done this when my mouse moves above this line of text, the cursor should change to hand cursor and the text should behave like a hyperlink i.e. when that text is clicked, it should take the user to some other location.
How can I achieve this.
Thanks in advance,
Aryan.
