I can't get you. This is complicated for me. I am a beginner. Can you explain in more details and easier steps?

It doesn't get any easier than what I've already provided. Since you have already created a "BIG MFC project," we must assume that you are at least somewhat familiar with the process. In any case, see here.

Dont take the "BIG" word to that extent. It is big in core not in interface. I'll check the links and go back to u soon.
Thanks anyway.

How can I convert from string to LPCSTR?
|
|
|
|

What's wrong with:
string str = "Hello";<br />
LPCSTR lpStr = str.c_str();

string ? or CString ?
if std::string :
std::string str = "yop";
char psz[255] = NULL;
::strcpy(psz, str.c_str());
if CString :
CString str = "yop";
char psz[255] = NULL;
::strcpy(psz, (LPCSTR)str);

This is syntactically incorrect. You cannot convert from const char to char[255] . You'd need to use strcpy() , or equivalent, instead.

Use csTemp.operator LPCTSTR();

csTemp.operator LPCTSTR()
Ajeesh,
why do you think we define operators overloads, if you call them like any other functions ?!
dont use csTemp.operator LPCTSTR() , use instead (LPCTSTR)csTemp .

Hi all,
we use WinHttp with SSL enabled for secure client/server connections. We have a private PKI and need to import our CA certificate into an appropriate truststore, so the SSL handshake runs through. Preparing a truststore outside the application is no option. We started with temporarily importing the CA certificate into the system certstore, but of course this fails for users without admin rights. We didn't like this approach, because it side effects all other applications accessing the system truststore, but saw no other choice to achieve our goal.
My questions are:
- can we create a temporary truststore and tell WinHttp to use this truststore for the SSL handshake?
- if not, what other choice do we have?
Thanks for your help,
Emil

Use the SetWindowText() method.

Dennis L wrote: Where can I use VirtualAlloc() function?
Wherever you need to reserve a region of pages in the virtual address space of the calling process.

Yes, if your virtual file system needs to reserve a region of pages in its virtual address space.

How can I show a warning(Control) dialog with standard library not MFC.
|
|
|

If you just want to show a warning message then you can use Platform SDK's MessageBox
::MessageBox(NULL, "My Message", "Box Caption", MB_OK|MB_ICONWARNING);
Refer, MessageBox[^]
