What error message do you get?

That is the thing, There is NO error message. It just stops executing the javascript when xmlHttp.send() is called.

Have you opened the Javascript console, so that you see the error messages?

I opened it and it said:
Error: uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open
|
|
|
|

I ran into this, and had to create a C# web service (proxy) to get across the domain barrier. I don't fully understand it, so can't even begin to answer your question, but maybe google on it.

Are you using the cross-browser method of creating your HTPP Request object?

Hello,
I am developing a web app and trying to use Enterprise Library 2.0. I am using it for logging for now. I achived the logging on a flat file but when I tried to start doing the logging by using a DataBase Listener. I failed.
Here's how I am using it after including all possible references to my web app.
I configured a datasource with following attributes setup:
-Server (my server name)
-Database (my database in my server)
-Integrated Security (I used API.. something, false, true and I even tested after removing this tag aswell).
-user (my user name)
-pwd (my password)
Then I configured a Database Listner and gave the reference of my datasource.
Then I configured a Logging block by adding different categories and then I added reference to my Database listner in categories.
I also tested by adding and removing following in web.config:
system.codedom
compilers
compiler language="c#;cs;csharp" extension=".cs"
type="Microsoft.CSharp.CSharpCodeProvider,
System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089"
compilerOptions="/d:TRACE"

After doing this all when I try to log an entry after specifing the category to the entry and other required attributes. NOTHING HAPPENS in tables I generated after running the script file provided by Best Patterns and Practices team. I couldnt log any data.
Is there anybody who can help me or tell me what I am doing wrong?

Hello all, I am using Flash 8 Pro and I am using the FLV PlayBack Custom UI controls for streaming video... My problem is I have several video sizes (300x220, 150x460, etc...) I am unable to resize the stage to fit the video... Is there a way of doing this or am I going to have to create an SWF file for each video size? I am using the FlashVars to retrieve the FLV file from the server as well as other information like the video Height and Width... I can successfully use these values... I have also come up with the Equations for positioning all of the other objects on the stage once resized...
Please Help...

Dictionary <string, Dictionary<string, string>> myDictionary = new Dictionary<string, Dictionary<string, string>>();
Obviously you can replace the strings with what datatypes you like. You could also set a Dictionary as a Key, but that gets confusing.

I read the ISAPI interface article and wanted to know how i could use those routines for sending out fax using ASP?
I am bit confused here.We are using a fax server here which is called WIN FAX.i wanted to know how i could send fax through ASP .Please help!!!

Doesn't PayPal provide you with the necessary script.
Go to their web site and look up their FAQ's etc.

Hi all.I use $Timestamp=date("g:i A l, F j Y."); to collect time and date the visitors entered my site . It inserts the data in to mysql database in this format :
3:02 AM Monday, July 24 2006
[CODE]mysql_query("INSERT INTO logdisplay VALUES('$ID','$column1','$Timestamp','$column2','$columns3')");

But when i query the database and use order by ,the data does not get displaied in order of newest on the top!!

could any one help me so that i get newst log records on the top .In another how to query my table baced on time an data.Thanks

hi I'm Making a Web Application in Asp.Net 1.1
My Designer has given me HTML for the Admin part.He has used "style="BACKGROUND-IMAGE: url(images/tab2.gif)" tag for background image.but what i found that Asp.net 1.1 does not support style.
it eliminate this automatically and background images got disappear.
is there any other alternative for it or any appropriate solution for this problem.thanx

Yes, ASP.NET does support style.
What control is it that you are trying to use it on?

on this TD but it automatically eliminates the style tag.

These two images are going to overwrite each other. Try taking the <IMG height="10" src="AdminAgentImg_files/tab1a.gif" width="4> tag out of the table cell and trying it. If that doesn't work, maybe it's something to do with the fact that these two images have different paths:
