The codeproject site succeeds due to the size of the PC user base and its longevity.
My point was not to bash macs but that even template library programming can attract regular posts for PC programming. I doubt that a mac offshoot would be able to muster even that level of interest!
3million plus users are what imbue this site with almost most real-time repsponse and their years of input are what provides its knowledge base. How will you recreate this with a mac-codeproject?
I wonder what the critical mass of users is to make such site fit for purpose?
And how would you recruit them?
So, imho a macish version would fail due to the lack of useful input

Are you sure that the mac community is that small? If you're sure ok. But maybe you'll be surprised.
I think that if you don't try you'll never know.. And it's not like you have to build up a new site. The code is there, you only have to add an extra topic in the codeproject.
If it's not a success just delete it. But what if..? It would be interesting

Hi!Sir,
I am a firmware designer of usb mass storage device. But every time when attach my device to a
new pc(to which my device ever not be attached),a system reboot message accur,but in fact i do not
need to reboot my system and my device still work well.
The title of the message is :"System Settings Change"
The message says:"Windows2000 has finishedinstalling new device,You must restart your computer before the new settimgs will take effect,do you want to restart your computer now?"
So my question is:
Which settings of my system have been changed to let system need restart?

Check this article[^] and find the reason why windows need to reboot. Then return back to check what you have design whether some part of its function make windows need to reboot or not.

Why do you want to develop drivers for an operating system that Microsoft withdrew support for at the end of 2004? Even NT Embedded 4.0 is no longer supported - extended support ran out at the end of July.
The Windows NT 4.0 DDK was withdrawn at the end of last year due to inclusion of some Java-compatible technology that Sun took exception to.
It might be possible, with judicious use of conditional compile directives and tweaking other settings, to use the Windows Server 2003 SP1 DDK[^].

hi guys,
i'm working in windows server 2003,
i found very difficulty in working with windows 2003 server, it takes so much
time to open any application,
my configuration is512 mb ram and hardisk 150 gb
os installed in c drive which 20 gb and in that 10 gb is free. i scanned the system with symantec anti virus software no virus is there.
could any one can tell me how to improve the system performance

You need to check the performance of your system. I also agree to the other post that you might need to improve your RAM, but what I suggest first is you should check the performance of your system. Try to log on as administrator account, go to control panel, administrative tool, Performance. Then try to se the graphic of your hardware performance. The result from this test will let you know what is the main problem.

I was looking for an Windows API which would take the current date/time, local time zone and return true/false indicating whether the current time / time-zone is using daylight saving or not.

You could use GetSystemTime and GetLocalTime, and see if they are the same.
