I am not sure what you are asking as your psuedo seems to be in the correct direction. Your query string can be:
"SELECT * FROM ProductPackaging " _
& "WHERE ProductCategory = 'Pasta' AND ProductSize = '20x250g'"
Note that the single quote is for MS SQL Server.
If the Pasta or 20x250g change then just use the value but do not forget the quote mark like:
& "WHERE ProductCategory = '" & txtPCat.text & "' AND ProductSize = '" _
& txtPSiz.text & "'"
Good Luck

Actually, that is the way you write strings according to the SQL standard, so that works everywhere.

Hi Friend.
in WebForm1
-----------
Dim Send_Data
set Send_Data = createobject("Microsoft.XMLDOM")
Send_Data.load "WebForm2.aspx?popup='data'"
In WEBForm2
-----------
Page_Load
----------
Dim Somewhere
Somewhere = Trim(Request.QueryString("popup"))
You can use the 'Somewhere' variable to display the result 'data'.

Of course you can change it. It's in the control panel.
If you want to use a different format or culture, specify it when you convert the date to a string.

I found that there is some activeX installed to my IE,
We may see them at IE -> Tools -> Manage Add-ons.
I know one of this is using for capture a drop event, eg:
When the user drop a email form outlook and then the activeX will do something.
If I need to write something such capture the drop event, What topic should I go for?

Hello!
I’m sick and tired of Crystal Reports and it’s dll’s… Anyone knows a reporting tool simple to work, easy to deploy and (hopefully) free?
The objective is to work with vb.net 2003 in windows apps.

I'm new to Reg Expressions and VB script, but after doing some seaches, I found that the following works well to return the first value...
Set re = New RegExp
With re
.Pattern = "\b[A-Z0-9._%-]+@[A-Z0-9.-]+\.[A-Z]{2,4}\b"
.IgnoreCase = True
.Global = True
End With
Set matches = re.Execute(htmlResult)
getadd = matches.item(0).value
msgbox getadd
If I change getadd to...
getadd = matches.item(0).value + ", " + matches.item(1).value
I can get the first 2 values. The problem is I want all of the values (the total number will vary) in the single variable getadd (I want to return all of the matches in a single message box). Any help?

I have created a very simple program that will basically keep and changelog file.
I consists of three forms
1. Main menu form (New Change, Show Summary, Exit)
2. New Change form (textbox, 2 buttons, RT box)
3. Summary Form (RT box control)
What I would like to happen:
1. When user clicks on New Change button in Main Menu I would like it to load the new change form. On the form there is a Textbox for name entry, a button that once clicked adds the name and timestamp to the RT box in Bold font, and a button for Save/Close.
When I Save/Close I would like for the bold text in the RT Box to Append to the top of an existing .rtf file.
2. When user clicks Summary i would like the form to load the .rtf file in its entirety. (Read Only)
Number two I don't have a problem with.
Number one I cannot get to append. Here are the choices I ahve tried thus far:
1. Use the .SaveFile option. Works great but no Append option
2. Use a StreamWriter to write the information. This also works great but I cannot seem to get it to keep the RTF formatting. I have tried a lot of the Encoding types and it does not seem that a Streamwriter can write in RTF encoding. Am I wrong here?
Please let me know in what direction I should head on this...=)
Thanks,
Taen Karth

A rich text textbox control and a rich text file are two quite different things.
The rich text textbox control is just a textbox that supports formatting, and that can export the formatting as an rtf document.
The RTF file format is a document format, it's not an encoding for formatted text. You can't add text to an rtf file by just appending (or prepending) text. You have to open the rtf document, add the text to the document body, and save the changed document.

So how would I accomplish this task? or is there a better way other than RTF for saving and readin formatted text
Thanks,

Internationalization is built into .Net. All of your strings that you show the user can be stored in a resource file and configured for a particular language/locale. There's a lot of material available on MSDN about this.

Hi
I have a windows application where I have programmed and designed my forms in normal(96dpi). The problem is that some of the users are changing their settings to large font(120dpi) and it is causing the text in the forms to enlarge and it is therefore screwing up the design/look of the pages. I have been able to search online to find some code that is available in VS2005, but I am using VS2003 and it does not seem to have the systemfont class required for those solutions. Does anyone know of how I can implement those solutions or if they know of where/how I can solve this issue? thank you
eg code:
<br />
Imports Microsoft.Win32<br />
<br />
Public Class Form1<br />
Public Sub New()<br />
' This call is required by the Windows Form Designer.<br />
InitializeComponent()<br />
<br />
' Add any initialization after the InitializeComponent() call.<br />
AddHandler SystemEvents.UserPreferenceChanged, New UserPreferenceChangedEventHandler(AddressOf SystemEvents_UserPreferenceChangesEventHandler)<br />
End Sub<br />
<br />
Private Sub SystemEvents_UserPreferenceChangesEventHandler(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As UserPreferenceChangedEventArgs)<br />
If (e.Category = UserPreferenceCategory.Window) Then<br />
Me.Font = SystemFonts.IconTitleFont<br />
End If<br />
End Sub<br />
<br />
Private Sub Form1_FormClosing(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.FormClosingEventArgs) Handles Me.FormClosing<br />
RemoveHandler SystemEvents.UserPreferenceChanged, New UserPreferenceChangedEventHandler(AddressOf SystemEvents_UserPreferenceChangesEventHandler)<br />
End Sub<br />
End Class<br />
