It is one of the most commonly asked questions by people new to C# or VB.NET. That's why Colin wrote his article.

Hey,
I need to add a large number (1000) images to an image list. The only way I can find to do this is to add them one by one, however is there a better way to achieve this?
Also is it possible to use images in a listview without using an image list?
Many thanks,
Tom

Hi all
I am trying develop a windows application in C#.the scenario is that I have my IIS and SQl server log files in a directory.I store that directory info in a xml file.
Now I want to programmatically take the path from XML file and search for all the files in that directory.the .log file is in the format of ddmmyyyy.log.
after taking the path from XML file it searched for all the log files and then checks whether the file is more than 30 days from the current system date.if it is then it deletes the log file.
can anyone help me in this?
Thanks

Hi,
Please specify what problem you are facing ? This seems to be simple logic and there is no problem in it ....

Take a look at the DriveInfo class in System.IO

To send sms send an email to the address:
T-Mobile: phonenumber@tmomail.net
Virgin Mobile: phonenumber@vmobl.com
Cingular: phonenumber@cingularme.com
Sprint: phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com
Verizon: phonenumber@vtext.com
Nextel: phonenumber@messaging.nextel.com
Obviously replace phonenumber with the phone number of the person you wish to send the message to, keep in mind an SMS can only be 160 characters.

I have a list view control.
Say, if i drag a word document from windows and drop it on the list view control. can i get the file name with path.
Is is possible to get the details?
By what way i can acheive it??
thanks in advance..

|
Yes off-course.
Handle the drag-drop event of the dropdown
and use the following code
if (e.Data.GetDataPresent(DataFormats.FileDrop))
{
file = (string[])e.Data.GetData(DataFormats.FileDrop);
}
file is a string array
that will be filled with the filenames with their paths.
