You might want to look up the following:
- WM_LBUTTONDOWN
- GetKeyState
- GetAsyncKeyState

Hello,
I'm working to define a toolbar. I would like to modify the handle.
I have drawn a picture, put it inside the toolbar as handle but I could manage the picture as a handle. I Used a CStatic and then loaded a Bitmap into it.
Does somebody know how to get the picture ID to after allocate it as handle ?

How many new threads do you need to create?
Ok, you obviously want to use your own icon, but you haven't actually made an icon yet.
Here's what to do:
* Right click on your resources in the resources view and select "Add resource..."
* Select "Icon" from the list, and click the "New" button
* This will take you to the icon editor, with a default 32x32 16 colour blank icon created for you. Draw in here, or paste in an image from Paintbrush, or anywhere else you can find an image
* You'll probably want other sizes - from the Image menu select "new image type" and you can add a 16x16 small icon (for the titlebar / taskbar) or 256 colour icons (which look nicer if you're pasting in an existing image), or larger icons (if you want it to look nice in XP)

Do you need to convert bmp/jpg to icon?Can you be more specific
|
|
|
|
|
Search the internet for a software called "Iconcool editor", it is my prefered choice. This software allows you to create multi sized icons, and is very easy to use. Just create your icon and import it into your resources.

use the icon editor into Visual C++ ...
also, stop reposting the same thing again and again. if you have new questions related to the same topic, stay on the same thread.

you can also you the Paint program that is installed with windows, you can make icons and save it by the ext *.ico, but you have to make the dimesions of width and hight bet 35-50 pixels.

Hi guys,
I really really need your help. I have been tinkering with the CWnd timer functions for days now and I really could not understand its concept. I tried doing a "timer-like" simulation using a simple dialog box with just a number that increments. Sounds really lousy but I really just want to do that with the CWnd::SetTimer and CWnd::OnTimer. I just want to see how it works, what executes when I set a timer duration of 1 second. What goes to where.
I'd really really appreciate it if you could help me with some explanations, or better yet, a simple code with that dialog box timer i could not complete.
Miss programmer in distress,

Trace into the MFC source code for CWnd::SetTimer .

Timer uses hardware interupts.
why do you need to know how it is implemented ? why not simply use it ??
|
|
|
|
|
hi,
what is there you just implement the Api called
::SetTimer(...)
::KillTimer(...)
// surf in google you get no of examples.

Hi,
I have an activeX created with VC++ ,i use it in my C++Builder 6 project and use OLE object to open Excel application in my project.
I receive an error when uncheck "build with runtime packages"
in project->options->packages.Otherwise if i check it or don't use ActiveX the application is working properly.
Following is my code to opening excel application.
-----------------------------------------------
Variant Excel=CreateOleObject("Excel.Application");
Excel.OlePropertySet("Visible", true);
Variant Workbook=Excel.OlePropertyGet("Workbooks");
Workbook.OleProcedure("Add");
Variant sheet = Workbook.OlePropertyGet("Item", 1).OlePropertyGet("Worksheets") ;
sheet = sheet.OlePropertyGet("Item",1);
sheet.OlePropertySet("Name", WideString("TEST"));
----------------------------------------------
I test this ActiveX in Delphi at same conditions but it has no errors.Also i test other ActiveXs created in VC++ in my project and i receive similar errors.

I created a dialog class in which i must accept 2 parameters into comboBox by the following function :
BOOL CConfigModView::GetCfgParaMod(CString& sTimer, CString& sModView)
{
sModView=m_ModView;
sTimer=m_TimerDelay;

error C2511: 'BOOL CConfigModView::GetCfgParaMod(CString &,CString &)' : Impossible to find the member function overloaded in ' CConfigModView '
what's the problem, i need your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
salem ,c wiem.

Did you declare GetCfgParaMod in CConfigModView's class definition (in the header file)?
|
|
|
|
|
yes the function and the two variables are declared, i don't understand what' s happen
salem ,c wiem.
|
|
|
|
|
Did you see msdn for this error?
From the MSDN:
Possible causes
Wrong parameters passed to function.
Parameters passed in wrong order.
Incorrect spelling of parameter names.
|
|
|
|
|
Dont' hurry, make sure , its declaration is not suppressed by any preprocessor,you spelled all parameters and function name in same way as definition.
Can you show , how its declared ?
