You need to concatanate the string values into the URL. Something like this:
"avlseats.aspx?a=" + "valueOfa" + "&b=" + "valueOfb" + "&c=" + "ValueOfc" ;

I’m using asp.net 2.I create a site map and a menu control to display the hierarchy of the site. I need to put a label on the master page that shows the name of the content page.
How can I do this?
Thanks

You need to create a ContentPlaceHolder and Put a Label control in it. You can modify that Label in your web Pages dynamically, thet uses this MasterPage.

Hi!
I need to Export an external(.xls) file into a table in oracle using ASP.net for my final year project. Is this possible? If Yes, Then please explain How?
|
|
|
|
|
Simplest method would be to treat the XLS as a datasource, get a dataset (or recordset) back, then squirt it at ORA...Google has examples
"Now I guess I'll sit back and watch people misinterpret what I just said......"

try this code below, get the data from the oracle database to a datatable, then write the data in a html format on the page.
dtTable = Methodtogetdatatable(); //from the oracle database
string strHTML = "";
//string strStr = common.c_EMPTY;
foreach(DataColumn col in dtTable.Columns)
{
strHTML += "";
//strStr += col.ColumnName + "|";
//Response.Write(col.ColumnName + "\t");
}
strHTML += "";
foreach(DataRow row in dtTable.Rows)
{
strHTML += "";
int intCnt = 0;
foreach(DataColumn col in dtTable.Columns)
{
if ((intCnt % 2) == 0)
strHTML += "";
else
strHTML += "";
intCnt++;
//strStr += row[col.ColumnName].ToString() + "|";
//Response.Write(row[col.ColumnName].ToString() + "\t");
}
strHTML += "";
}
WriteText(strHTML);" + col.ColumnName + " | " + row[col.ColumnName].ToString() + " | " + row[col.ColumnName].ToString() + " |

Hi
Can anyone please tell me how to pass the imageUrl of a ImageButton through Querystring to another WebForm and assign it as the ImageUrl of the ImageButton placed there?
Thanx..
|
|
|
|
|
what you need to do is append the imageURl to the current URL like this:
string str = "../webform1.aspx?IURL=" + "imageURl";
Response.Redirect(str);
to get the imageURl from the querystring:
str = request.querystring["IURL"].tostring();

Ya ... i do know that
I tried in the same manner.
But when i set the QuerySTring to the ImageUrl of the ImageButton in the popup form,its not displaying the image.
When i checked the string,it was not in the format of filepath.It looked like a series of string...
Like "DImagesOne.jpg" instead of "D:\Images\One.jpg"
Thats the problem..
|
|
|
|
|
Use "D:\\Images\\One.jpg" in place of "D:\Images\One.jpg".

Hi,
We are developing an web application. Now we have a situation like, we need to give the BUILD for testing team but this BUILD should not have in going (in progress) developmental activites. For example, a developer is adding some controls in the "AddEmployee.aspx", but testing build should have the previous version of the "AddEmployee.aspx". We are using VSS for our project. Please help us.

You can label the project in VSS and then send the labeled build.

Hi,
Most of the projects are facing this situation. I suggest you to have different versions for test and production in the VSS. Otherwise it is difficult during the build for test and production.

how to copy data from different servers(both sqlserver2000), same table names with same structure without using queryanalyser/enterprisemanager editors, through only aspx pages
|
|
|
|
|
First of all you have to write connection string for both sql server.Then write "insert into tablename" query for both connection string.But make sure,you have to open one sql server connection at a time.For example write
ConnectionString for first server
connection open
insert query for first server
connection close
ConnectionString for Second server
connection open
insert query for second server
connection close

Hi,
I have a User Control which contains a Link Button. This Link Button is supposed to redirect a user to another webform as well as hide certain other link buttons on the same User Control.
The problem is that the Link Button in the User Control MUST be in a FORM tag with "Runat='server'". When I run the program, I am told that there must only be ONE form tag on a page.
Admittedly there is a FORM tag on the webform which is linked to the User Control. So BOTH the User Control AND the Active Webform HAVE FORM tags, which is apparently NOT allowed.
Any ideas on how to bypass this issue?
Thanks.
|
|
|
|

What i can tell you is remove the form tag from the user control and then place the user control(without form tag) inside the form tag in the webform.

I had thought of that.. but I really need the Link Button to be in the User Control rather than in the Webform because the Link Button is a part of a long list of other Link Buttons which control the whole site.
In anycase, I have decided to use asp:Hyperlink instead of asp:LinkButton seeing as the asp:Hyperlink does NOT require to be place inside a tag.
Thanks for your reply.
