If you use a Dataset in your binding, try to check the value of DataSet.HasChanges property.

I am using controls at runtime foe palying movie files.
a .mvw file opens if i double click it in mediaplayer. but when i am programatically runs the same in a mediaplayer control. it does not. the error is "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a com component". but when I am using a mpeg file then it runs properly.

the easiest way is to upgrade to .net 2.0 bcz I had the same problem a few days ago n I tried many different things too but eventually I upgraded to .net 2 and solved that but if using .net 1.1 is a compulsation then it is something to work on.
u can find one or two useful articles on this very site about making datagridcombobox, do read them out and see 4 urself..

i want to create an object like labels, buttons. it has events. i don't want to use UserControl.
i wonder how windows can do these controls and their event functions. Is there any API function or any thing else.

Why not? What's wrong with it?
Follow the MSDN guideline on Developing Custom Windows Forms Controls with the .NET Framework[^].

Hi,
I am using the reportviewer in a project and am supposed to have reportviewer.exe located in the sdk packages directory C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\BootStrapper\Packages\ReportViewer\ReportViewer.exe however it (and any other packages for that matter) are not there.
Although I have installed the sdk, there are no packages actually installed.
How do I get and install the packages?

A simple google search turned up this Microsoft download page Microsoft Report Viewer Redistributable 2005[^]. I guess that should solve your problem.

Get out the VS.NET 2005 DVD and try reinstalling the SDK portions.
Wait a minute...are you using the Express Edition???

I want to iterate through all the controls on the form even if there's a panel and controls in that panel.
Is there any collection with all controls in form no matter if there's any controls inside another control?
I hope you know what I mean.

Just try to recursion.
private void GetControl(Control mainControl)
{
foreach(Control control in mainControl.Controls)
{
//Do something
if(control.Controls != null)
GetControl(control)
}
}
I hope this works!

I thought that I could do it with recursion...
I was confused by a different types of controls that could be in win forms, but I didn't realised that all controls are type of Control...
Silly me .
Thank you..
