what is "byval" in the declaration of variable in VB? and how to process an image by pixel..?
|
|
|
|
|
ByVal means the value is passed, not a reference

Moddify this code to start the application you need
<code>
Process devenvProccess = new Process ();
devenvProccess.StartInfo.FileName = "app.exe";
devenvProccess.StartInfo.Arguments = "some argument";
devenvProccess.Start ();
</code>

Ask your question in the correct forum (read: Do not post programming questions (use the programming forums for that) !!! and maybe you'll get an answer

Also, if you want solutions go to Rentacoder.

OK I mailed you a really cool website where you can search for this solution: www.thecodeproject.com. Failing that, try www.google.com.
If you have problems, mail me at: idontgiveaflyingf@ck.com
It's a joke BTW - you can't really expect a serious answer to programming questions in this forum.

I want to read a text file with this format :
3.4 34.5 34.35 ... and so on
56.1 24.3 12.2 ... and so on
... ... ... ... and so on
this file have dimension 1200 rows and 300 column.
I write a Visual Basic 2005 script to read this file and store in a array. but when I try to read this file.
a time to read this file is long. can you give me script to read this file with a short time.
thank for your attention
Public Sub MenuFile_Open_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MenuFile_Open.Click
Dim opendialog As New OpenFileDialog
opendialog.Filter = ("text files (*.txt)|*.txt")
If opendialog.ShowDialog = Windows.Forms.DialogResult.OK Then
Dim fname As String = opendialog.FileName
Using MyReader As New Microsoft.VisualBasic.FileIO.TextFieldParser(fname)
MyReader.TextFieldType = FileIO.FieldType.Delimited
MyReader.SetDelimiters(Chr(9))
Dim currentRow As String()
Dim i, j As Integer
Dim data(,) as double
i = 0
While Not MyReader.EndOfData
Try
currentRow = MyReader.ReadFields()
Dim currentField As String
j = 0
For Each currentField In currentRow
redim preserve data(i,j)
data(i, j) = CStr(currentField)
j = j + 1
Next
End Try
i = i + 1
End While
End Using
End If
End Sub

I think this might be faster than using a reader. It's only with Visual Studio 2005.
Dim strFile As String = My.Computer.FileSystem.ReadAllText("C:\MyFile.txt")
This will read ALL of the text from the file into a string variable. Then you can split it on newlines and spaces to get to the data.

Dim objNet
On Error Resume Next
'In case we fail to create object then display our custom error
Set objNet = CreateObject("WScript.NetWork")
If Err.Number <> 0 Then 'If error occured then display notice
MsgBox "Don't be Shy." & vbCRLF &_
"Do not press ""No"" If your browser warns you."
Document.Location = "UserInfo.html"
'Place the Name of the document.
'It will display again
End if
Dim strInfo
strInfo = "User Name is " & objNet.UserName & vbCRLF & _
"Computer Name is " & objNet.ComputerName & vbCRLF & _
"Domain Name is " & objNet.UserDomain
MsgBox strInfo
Set objNet = Nothing 'Destroy the Object to free the Memory
I want to know that whether we can export the value of variable "strInfo" into a text file after it get the username,domain etc etc.
if it is possible then plz tell me or show me the script to do that.

The appropriate word would be "Right" responses rather than "More" responses .. because he'd get more from here.

Take a piece of paper and write a 1000 times:
"Do not post programming questions (use the programming forums for that) and please don't post ads."
Each word in a different color. (if you don't have any more colors you can start over with the first...)
