That is way too much information. Could you be a bit less specific?
If you could say anything at all about what kind of probem you have, it might be possible to say anything about it.

Hi
For this you could use a for loop to check the index of the selected text.
like
private void DropDownList1_SelectedIndexChanged(.. , ..)
{
string val=DropDownList1.SelectedItem.Value ;
int index=0;
for(int i=0;i< DropDownList1.Items.Count;i++)
{
if(val == DropDownList1.Items[i].Value)
index= i;
}
}
I hope this solves the problem.

Basically, if you want to determine the index of a particular item, you can walk through the Items collection of the dropdownlist to the trick, and for the selected item you can simply use SelectedIndex property.

I am transitioning into developing ASP.NET web applications from C# Windows applications. Particularly, I am converting a Windows application that I created in C# to ASP.NET. This application simply moves a data file from the user’s workstation to a predefined location on the network, creates and executes a DTS package, and a few other processes are carried out before ending. My question is, how, or what, is the best way to keep the user informed of the progress?
In the Windows app I created an event that simply updated a label. I don’t think that will work in a web environment though???

FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage
only two letters away from being an asset

Do you mean
MynewpageAuthentication.redirectfromMycurrentpage
or
FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage

Not sitting with you and looking at your code, hence not knowing anything about MynewpageAuthentication , I think you can safely assume I meant FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage
only two letters away from being an asset
|
|
|
|
|
use the command
Response.Redirect("path", true);
path is the relative Url from the page
ex
untitled.html ***Same folder
../untitled.html ****one folder back
folder/untitled.html ***one folder up
you understand what i mean

You can't do it like normal textbox. What you need to do is set the value of that something like this:
TextBox2.Attributes.Add("value","kaushal");

When more tab gets added to tabstrip, it stretches out.

I just posted an article under the ASP.NET section called "AJAX Demystified - Part One". It explains how to create a simple shoutbox in ASP.NET (C#) using AJAX. Hopefully it'll help you understand a little more about it!

my project is a sattellite tracking system in which there are two basic images one is a ""logo""and the other is a ""background""map. when ever i am inserting longitude and latitude values in the database, the logo should come on the map in the exact position.i should have to put many more than one logos at the same map.that is by clicking "update" button each time the map should be updated.
