Hello,
I have a problem with the toolbar in visual studio 2005, when I compile and run my application in the 'Debug' Configuration everything is fine, but when i switch the configuration to 'Release' the images in my toolbar simply dissapear (I only the text next to the images, but no images).
Anyone have an Idea what might be wrong with that?

Hi grep2
I think it could be from image url that you set. make sure the address is correct. be careful that if you use of any related address with your project address it is different in release and debug mode.
let me know if it is useful

Hello,
I use the images from a ImageList, there also other controls which use images from the same ImageList and they are displayed properly. So I guess it has nothing to do with the address.
But thank you for taking your time to answer my question, although the problem is still not solved.

Hey all, I have a few realy importent questions that are pausing my program.
I REALY need some help, pleaseeeeee help!
1. I need to do a program, that when I tell it to, it will restart the program and update from the click-once auto-update.
How is it possible from inner-C# programming? (from inside the program - events)
2. I have an IP of a counter-strike server.
I need to check if the server exists (responding), and if it does, to check if it has password (and if possible to check if the password is correct by what I give it), and the num of ppl playing atm.
These three are for the ones that know how to use a Thresher's SharkBite.IRC library:
3. How can I easly see if a user is in a channel, from a UserInfo sent in a PrivateMessage?
4. How can I check a state (@p, Vo+ced or regular) of a user, from a UserInfo sent in a PublicMessage?
5. How can I change my usermode to +x if I don't have a usermode like that?
6. How can I go to the last page I visited? Is this good?:
Response.Redirect(Page.PreviousPage.Request.RawUrl);
If you can provide a snifft of a part of code that would help even more!
Thanks ALOT!
NaNg.

If you don't get the replies that you want to your question, think over what you might do differently rather than just copying it and pasting it in a new post.

Why don't you continue in the thread that you already started instead of creating a new one about the same thing?

which is a better way to represent business entities in my application:xml or object entities? the objects are currently consumed by classes but that will soon become web services. Considerations include performance and which is a better coding practice?

Hi ,
well guys , i think i have a problem right here
i was programming in vb.net , but i realized that C# is two much better cuz i was enjoying programming on Java so the C# & Java are approximatley the same . but today i was trying to right this line of code :
in vb.net we right :
DataSet.Tables.Rows(0).Items(0)
in C# i tried :
DataSet.Tables.Rows(0).Items(0); but it doesn't work can you tell me why ?
& as a beginner in C# i ask everybody who wanna help me if somebody can give me a link of a C#.Net book i'll be gratefull
Thank you very much for your help
try to be good if you can't be the best

VB uses parantheses both for method parameters and indices. When you convert code to C#, you have to know if it's a method call or an index that you are using, as C# uses brackets [] for indices.
DataSet.Tables.Rows[0].Items[0]

C# books - ever thought of using google (or any other search engine) or even visiting Microsoft for C# tutorials.
Try this link [^]
or perhaps reading Marc Clifton's 2 part series starting with [^] or any of the other beginner tutorials here on Code Project

Strange how so many people seem never to have heard of Google! Perhaps if he's asked for C# book recommendations, rather than just C# books. Perhaps that's what he meant to say. If so he's excused, as English is not his first language.

Hi
Im writing a neat little app to fetch raw text content from a website.
However, the website im trying to get data from first sends me to a "bandwidth test site", then redirects me to the site i want data from. How can i handle this in c#?
Code so far;
<br />
String url = "http://www1.nrk.no/nett-tv/bokstav/@";<br />
String content = ""; <br />
HttpWebRequest request=(HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(url); <br />
request.AllowAutoRedirect=true;<br />
request.MaximumAutomaticRedirections=200;<br />
HttpWebResponse request = (HttpWebResponse)myHttpWebRequest.GetResponse(); <br />
<br />
Stream receiveStream = request.GetResponseStream();<br />
Encoding encode = System.Text.Encoding.GetEncoding("utf-8");<br />
<br />
StreamReader readStream = new StreamReader( receiveStream, encode );<br />
content = readStream.ReadToEnd();<br />
<br />
textBox1.Text=content;
This only gets the inital page...so, how to get the redirect page?
