I think that you can find a good example on MSDN examples(Im not sure but I think its in VC6.0)

in the wizard, did you select the CEDitView as the view ? or did you simply kept the defaut CView ?

I'm not trying to convert multibyte to wide. I'm trying to convert standard ASCII (US single byte code) to Wide = Unicode.

I'll look at that function in case it will do this too.

I was thinking I had to use a form of sprintf

if ur using ATL try its quite easy

just use

USES_CONVERSION;<br />
WCHAR *lpszUnicode = A2W(lpszAnsi);<br />

So, from yesterday to today you have learned that reading text content from a HTML file, excluding the tags is called as parsing.

Ask a more precise question. There are millions to help you. Dont ask questinos like "anybody can help me?". First help yourself. Go through sample articles, download source code and modify it to suit your requirement.
