I was hoping to find an example for a Mac OS X style "dock" application launcher...but for Windows, i.e. an animated taskbar. I have seen some shareware tools like this, e.g. "AquaDock", but nothing that explains the implementation or has source to review.

First of all, I don't think you need to support frames. You can just use Main.html.
Second of all, I would recommend HTTrack. It's a freeware tool to download everything from a website.
You can then simply read the files you need and changes to the website will have less impact on your code.
Also you will not need to wory about frames anymore.
Last note. Isn't it easier to simply have Xml data send to you (by RSS for example)?

Don't cross post (you've posted the same question twice in the math forum). It is rude

Hi
You can but you would need to write the USB protocol your self and for that you would need a big cpu.
I presume you whant to go embedded. In short. You get IC's that will allow you to connect USB but you will need some software on your platform to use the USB interface. Rather use a SBC much quicker and cheaper in (R&D) time

The idea in C++ would be same. Check out the CreateProcess() function for details on launching the process.

Hi
I am developing a scripts in C# which can be used to test windows based applications. I use Win32 API's to perform click operations etc. To uniquely identify a control in a window rather than using absolute position of a control I have been using Control-ids and captions of the control. But I found scenarios where the control-id was dynamic and the control didn't have a caption. What I mean by caption is the text of the control. A control, say a button can have both name and text - Name: btnOk and Caption: OK. What I hoping to get is the Name "btnOk" that can uniquely identify it in a window because no two controld can have the same name, but it can have the same caption. I have searched through the Win32 API's and I have been able to find a suitable API that does the job. Any kind of help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Read the how to get answers post. This is not the correct forum. The more you repost the same question, the more you will get ignored.

All of the sample code for transform filters in the DirectShow SDK has only ONE input pin.
It would be a great contribution if someone could find out how to write a filter with TWO (or more) input pins. This would allow two video (or audio) streams to be combined in whatever way with the two sets of frames being completely in sync.
It's all about buffering frames arriving at each input pins and combining the correct ones by their timestamp.
It's so very useful that I'm amazed that there is no sample or template code out there to show how to do produce a filter with two or more input pins. The solution may be quite complicated but it ought to be pretty general for any type of video or audio format as its really all to do with buffering samples and checking timestamps.
Can anyone come up with a template filter which has all of the required basic functionality?
We could all just plug in our own video or audio sample format and off we go! It would be doing the DirectShow community a massive favour.
