http://www.codeproject.com/script/profile/whos_who.asp?id=565680#Blog[^] So how do you call this J4amie?
"Everything belongs to CP" ? Yes it should be. Even if you post something in a blogx.com, your messages belong to the blogx.com. But the matter is they give you some privileges on your "own" stuff there. If not, Then why not let everybody edit anyone's article here? You cannot. CP has already give us our own space here. The thing now is to have control over it.BTW, even Chris has called it a "blog". and what's the matter with you? In blogs you will have the control to delete trolls. Wont you J4amie??

Yes, this will be implemented. We just need your patience for a little longer since there are a zillion other things on our plate at the moment. I hope you understand.

In Submit() at the home page, the quotes in the literal string in the alert in the if statement confuses IE6.

Actually, fixed a while ago. But it's nice to say "Fixed!" so I'll indulge myself.

Hi,
after updating my profile here on CodeProject (My Settings) my login address was wrong.
It changed from xxxx@yyyy-zzzz.com to xxxx@yyyyzzzz.com (the minus sign was away).
Is this a bug or feature???
Greetings

No, not really.
But it is annoying that the login is not working with my "standard" mail account...

Just noticed that the voting tooltips were missing a capital first letter and a period at the end. Personally, I like to see full grammer in effect in these things.

I noticed that sometimes the messages posted counter doesn't update correctly. Has anyone else seen this?

Destroy the soapbox and recycle those wasted bits into something more usefull.

what is the Soapbox done for then ?
it provides shovels and some sand for the CP kids, to avoid they go the the Lounge to fight.
No really, i don't see the point. The SoapBox totally fills its goal.

No. The soapbox is a great release valve. All that needs to happen is a few simple things. Some suggestions:
1. Make it opt-in. You don't even see the soapbox unless you opt-in on your profile.
2. Remove the ability to have HTML in the screen names (except for a few acceptable tags such as <b>, <i> etc.). Only unique names (after the HTML has been stripped out) would be permitted.
3. Allow people to set up ignore lists, so they don't have to even see posts by objectionable people. Maybe also a toggle to ignore replies to the objectionable person too. If this was available, I think I would have about a half-dozen people added to it. I'm all for freedom of speech, but it doesn't mean I have to listen.
Basically, I don't want to see the type of posts currently in the soap box put into the lounge - because that is where they will end up.

Rather than hiding posts, I'd prefer that they just be marked read automatically. Once you start hiding them threading gets all fubared.

Yeah, and it already does that enough without the hiding.
