Thanks

Hello,
What datasource are you using for the grid? If you use a dataset paging should be supported, I'm unsure of the other sources, it sounds totally logical that IEnumerable sources don't support this kind of functionality.

code snippet
dim sCode,sName
dim oCmd, sSqlString
dim oNewConnection, oNewRecordset, sNewSQL
sCode=replace(request.Form("txtCode"),"'","''")
sName=replace(request.Form("txtName"),"'","''")
sSqlString2 ="DELETE * FROM tblcode WHERE (code = " & sCode & " AND codeOwner= '" & sName &"')"
Set oNewConnection = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
'open the connection to the database
oNewConnection.Open(sConnString2)
oNewConnection.execute(sSqlString2)
but when i try to excute that i get the following error
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'
Line 1: Incorrect syntax near '*'.

1. Remove the * in the query. You are deleting records, not specific fields of records.
2. You have forgotten the apostrophes around the value you are comparing to the code field.

b { font-weight: normal; }

thanks made the changes and it worked, i didn't need to put the apostrophes around the values though

Are you sure? You are escaping the apostrophes in the value, is that something that you just do without knowing why, or can the value actually contain apostrophes? If it can, then you need to put apostrophes around the value.

Can't you check ContentLength property of input file ? I am guessing you should get this properrty before you upload ?
Else it is always a good idea to make use of page_error or Application_Error event to catch unknown errors.

Hmm, I think it would be even better to validate the size before even trying to upload the file. You can do this by adding a custom validator that checks the size of the file the user choose to upload with the maximum allowed size.
This provides the user with a more friendly way of saying: No, you can't upload this.

Hi,
Maximum upload size for a file is mentioned in machine.config
you can override the settings by mentining it in your project web.config
<httpRuntime executionTimeout="3600" maxRequestLength="100000"/>

Hi
I have the same problem. I spent a lot of time trying to fix this but without any success.
I added some bounded and template fields to detailsview, witch may caused the problem.
If you find a solution, can you please share it with me?
Thanks

No code exists in asp.net for printing.
You can make use of javascript though.Using window.print(); Calling which opens up print dialog.

HI
i am devloping tree view but all things are right but i am using li html tag now it is showing dots infront of the text i don't want that dots/disc anything how to do this ?

You can use CSS or inline styles.
<li style="list-style-type: none">
That will suppress the dots.

Though this is probably more appropriate for the web development forum here is one option(s) to solve your question:
<ul style="list-style-type:none">
<li style="list-style-type:circle">bob</li>
<li>mike</li>
<li>sally</li>
</ul>

Hello everybody,
I'm gotting something very amazing on Firefox.
Take a look at theis page with IE and Firefox please:
Test page
on Firefox I got a breake on the top of this page. Why= I don't know exactly.
But when I do following I get this break (and the scrollbar) out of my page.
Try to save the code behind, then swap this tag just after the FORM tag:
<LINK href="../../_css/styles_6a5c76518d8a4d088117001308646acc.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet">
the page will be displayed correctly.
Any idea about this?
Is it in any way possible to write some code just after the form tag.
The only thing I could write at first position after the FORM tag is a hidden field like this: page.RegisterHiddenField("myHiddenField", "myValue"). But it did not solve the problem. Everything else (like Page.RegisterClientScriptBlock(key, scriptBlock)) will be writting after all hidden fields... so it not helps.
I will be very happy to get some help.
Kind regards.
amikass.

Hello! I'm new to ASP.NET and i have a tiny question.
I tried to search it in this messageboard, but when i click search, it says loading for about 5 minutes and the search results won't show. And i am getting bored of waiting, so i post a new question:
How can i find the IP of the computer accessing my webpage?
If the computer is using a proxy, the value returned will be the one of the proxy?
Thanks a lot in advance!

The code I'm using is :
Set MyLogin = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
ConnStr = "DRIVER=Firebird/InterBase(r) driver;UID=ID; PWD=Password;DBNAME=DB\db.FDB"
and the error I get is:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80040E4D)
unavailable database
/login/validate.asp, line 22
(I've set permissions so that I can Write to db
and I've got the db in the ODBC under System DSN)
Any help will be apreciated!
