When you access the Server.transfer("Pagename","true") utility in an aspx page, you will get the following error.
The View State is invalid for this page and might be corrupted

Hi
I know how to display an image in a web page by reading it from DB. However, I am not sure what format the image is stored in database.
I am reading it in a byte array and sending the byte array to the response stream with the content type set to gif (also tried with bmp).
The result is a blank image placholder (one shown when the image is not found).
I also tried to save it to a file and reference the file in the web page with the same result. The OS refuses to open the file as an image.
Has this something to do with specifically Access? I am using the Northwind Access DB for some learning purpose.
Any help is appreciated.

Under the event, there is a DO loop where it always check whether there is any bar code scanned over the reader. If there is a barcode scanned, then the bardcode ID will be display in a listbox, else the DO loop continues to loop till the user press the Stop button.
Is there anywhere which the listbox in the page will display the barcode ID on runtime once the tag was scanned and continue to loop if user did not press the Stop button? Pelase help. Thanks in advance

i am also facing same kind of problem. I am working in asp.net 2, and has used atlas too, but still there is flickering. i don't think there will be an alternate way but there must be some way to avoid flickering. Why don't we both search for it and inform each other if anyone finds it first.

Hi,
In my asp.net (C#) application, I am running a long running process on one asp:button's click. So for safety purpose, I set the UseSubmitBehaviour attribute = "false" and then disable the buttons on the page (using javascript) and then proceed with the process.
Before actually starting the process, I ask the user a confirmation, whether to proceed or not using Ok/Cancel box in javascript and then actually proceed with the process.
But I see that even if user clicks Cancel, the page still posts back and server side process starts to execute.How can I avoid this ?
For your reference, given below is the whole code
<asp:Button ID="btnSubmit" runat="server" UseSubmitBehavior="false" Text="SUBMIT" Width="100%" CssClass="BUTTON" OnClick="btnSubmit_Click"/>
On Page_Load()
{btnSubmit.Attributes.Add("onclick", "ConfirmSubmit('" + btnSave.ClientID + "','" +btnSubmit.ClientID + "','" +btnValidate.ClientID + "','" +btnCancel.ClientID + "','" +btnBack.ClientID + "','" +btnViewEntireRecord.ClientID + "')");
javascript function
function ConfirmSubmit(btnSave,btnSubmit,btnValidate,btnCancel,btnBack,btnViewEntireRecord)
{if( window.confirm("Are you sure you want to submit this data ?") == true)
{
event.cancelBubble = false;
window.history.forward(1);
btnSave=document.getElementById(btnSave);
btnSubmit=document.getElementById(btnSubmit);
btnValidate=document.getElementById(btnValidate);
btnCancel=document.getElementById(btnCancel);
lnkBack=document.getElementById(btnBack);
lnkViewEntire=document.getElementById(btnViewEntireRecord);
btnSave.disabled = true;
btnSubmit.disabled = true;
btnValidate.disabled = true;
btnCancel.disabled = true;
lnkBack.disabled = true;
lnkViewEntire.disabled = true;
return true;
}
else
{
event.cancelBubble = true;
return false;
}
What is the bug in this. Pls guide me.
Thanks and best regards
