Does anyone have or know where i can find source code for a very simple program that just produces a preview from a webcam (no capturing required) using DirectShow and VS2005?
Or can any one explain how i would do it myself?

The AmCap sample app in the DirectShow SDK (now in the Platform SDK) is fairly simple.

But there is no documentation to explain what all the classes do. I'm new to C++ and DirectShow and so i need a dummys guide to webcam previewing.

The DirectShow SDK IS the documentation. It's well documented actually.
For a beginner it's not real easy. You need to know C/C++, Windows API, enough COM to at least
handle creation/releasing of objects, and DirectShow classes.
A simpler alternative is Video for Windows[^].

Hi
i have one issue regarding EventLogType of event viewer.
I have written code for reading all events from event viewer. for getting event log type name like application, system and security, I refer registry path (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog). Form this path, I come to know how many event log type are and using the keyname, I read the event logs information.
My problem is that One machine (windows 2000 server) the eventlog names are differ from registry with eventviewer.
Ex.
In registry Application
In EventViewer . Application Logs
So I could not get the log information from event log viewer
I am using OpenEventLog() API
Thanks

Oups, maybe profiler is not the right word.
What I'd like to have is something which will tell me how much time is spent in which methods of my code.

What about the one that comes with VS?

I thought they stopped shipping it after VC6. Did they put it back again? Can't find it.

I wouldn't know. Jerome failed to mention any specifics about his environment.

then just diable whole the control.

I think he wants to prevent the user from clicking or selecting one tab among many. If the whole control is disabled, the user cannot selecte any of the tab na?

I think he wants to disbale a item not ctrl

See here. I think that Paul DiLascia's solution is visually appealing, however.

Hi,
I am writing unit test cases using CPPUnit framework.
typically a unit testing project includes two modules.
1) Test cases module
2) A Test runner to run these test cases.
Most of the examples seen demonstrate the test cases and the test runner existing in the same project/application.
My project has most of the critical code in a dll. In order to do a unit testing I need to write testcases inside this dll for Module 1. For Module 2, I have written a simple testRunner application. This Tester application should run the testcases using the registryfactory.
The gaol is not to expose the testclassses in the dll and still run these testcases from outside application.
To achieve this I referred this link http://cppunit.sourceforge.net/doc/lastest/group___writing_test_plug_in.html.
PROBLEM: (Module 1)
I get following linker error when I write "CPPUNIT_PLUGIN_IMPLEMENT" in my testclass cpp class in the dll.
mfcs71d.lib(dllmodul.obj) : error LNK2005: _DllMain@12 already defined in CTestClass.obj
Has any one come across such kind of error. Any help would be great.
