Hi Kissy,
I was having the sme problem, before few months, I could get the right solution. The only thing you need to do is copy paste the below code in your Page_Load.
CultureInfo ci = new CultureInfo("de-AT");
Thread.CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = ci;
You will have to import System.Threading and System.Globalization in Import section
This is nothing but setting up Dutche culture, so that your date format is fixed to dd/MM/yyyy format. While selecting from a calendar you may have to give
SelectedDate.ToString.Replace(".","/") because it dispalys date in dd.MM.yyyy format.
Cheers

What is that error? Do u set the validateRequest="false" tag in the page directive?
Thomas
|
|
|
|
|
It can give two problems
1) Request validation failed, so you will have to give ValidateRequest="False" in <%@page %> directive.
2) if it gives error while saving into database or other, just give
Server.HtmlEncode(TextBox1.text)

what are you passing in your text box???
tell me exact value that you are passing in your text box
and no need to write .ToString after .Text it is by default string

i m passing. date in following format 26/10/2006
dat's it

You have to pass date in mm/dd/yyyy format dear else it will give error
stdate = DateTime.Parse(TextBox1.Text)
Response.Write(stdate.ToString("dd MMM yyyy"))
try this code and pass 10/26/2006 in your text box it will display 26 Oct 2006 so you must pass date in mm/dd/yyyy format as by default it accept date in this format..
Ok so try it and let me know it is working or not

hi,
generallary if we give response.write. it will be printed on top.But i don't want that.I want to display it in a desired location.Can we specify any location for Response.Write?If yes,how?
thanks
vijay

|
|
|
|
No, you can't.
You should only use Response.Write if you use it to output the entire page yourself.
Put a Label or Literal control on the page where you want the output, and assign it to the Text property of the control.
---
b { font-weight: normal; }
|
|
|
|
|
Yes You can,
Give
Response.Write("<div id='mydiv' style='COLOR:#5E3E74; FONT-SIZE: 14px;FONT-WEIGHT: BOLD; LEFT: 600px; TOP: 600px' >Hi Guffa</DIV>");
You can change LEFt & TOP as you wish.
Cheers !!!
