I have a need to capture the onblur and onfocus events of my input boxes on an html form and perform custom external handling in my vb.net application. I have been able to successfully hook up a handler to the 'onclick' event, but the 'onblur' events are not working. Can anybody please tell me why is it happening?
i have picked up an input box and then attaching an evenhandler using
AddHandler CType(txt, mshtml.HTMLInputTextElementEvents2_Event).onblur, AddressOf Me.txt2_HTMLInputTextElementEvents_Event_onblur
and the correspoding handler is like this.
Private Sub txt2_HTMLInputTextElementEvents_Event_onblur(ByVal pEvtObj As mshtml.IHTMLEventObj)
.....................
........some code will go here .......
.....................
End Sub

Hi all,
How to upload a folder in asp.net.
|
|
|
|
|
you need to zip that folder
Dotnet

Upload ¿Create? DirectoryInfo di = Directory.CreateDirectory(Url)

You can't upload an entire directory but you can speed up the process
of uploading by allowing users to upload zip files and unzipping them
once they reach the server, that was you could upload lots of files
and directories in 1 click.
Take a look at this free zip component:
http://www.icsharpcode.net/OpenSource/SharpZipLib/Default.aspx
There's an example in the download that will show you how to unzip a file

I've seen this 100 times and now cannot find it. If I have a page loaded with 50 items how can I direct a user to the page and put the item they want to see at the top of the visible window?
Like some sites do with a table of contents at the top...

Is it possible to use Console.WriteLine in an ASP.NET page? If so where does it output?
I know you can do this with web applications with Java Servlets and JSP using System.out.println(), it just outputs to the IDE. Just wondering if this was possible with ASP.NET for debugging purposes. I'm using Visual Studio 2005 if that helps. Cheers!

It does not make sense if you use the Console.WriteLine method to send the message to the standard output stream in an ASP.NET application, for debugging purposes you can use the utility methods of the Debug[^] class, and you can see the messages in the output pane in IDE when you debug your application. For more details, see ASP.NET Troubleshooting and Debugging[^]

I have an ASP.NET application where I do not want the users to be able to browse some folders, but I would like them to be given access to files in the same folders if provided with a link. Is that even possible?
|
|
|
|
|
Yes, that's possbile. Just disable browsing in the properties for the folder in the IIS manager.
Browsing is usually turned off by default.

What you might need to do is to look into the classes defined in the System.IO and System.Xml namespaces in MSDN to see how to read a text file and produce an xml document with lots of examples in there, also you may also need to check out some utility methods for string processing (regular expression). In some cases, you can use the ADO.NET to query data from a text file.
