You need to use reflection. There are several good articles on using it here on CP.
Arthur Dent - "That would explain it. All my life I've had this strange feeling that there's something big and sinister going on in the world."
Slartibartfast - "No. That's perfectly normal paranoia. Everybody in the universe gets that."
Deja View - the feeling that you've seen this post before.

Is it a managed or unmanaged DLL?

You might want to look at the System.Reflection namespace. In that namespace you will find the Assembly[^] class. You will be able to load the DLL (Assembly) and then query it to GetTypes[^] (classes, structs, enums) that are in the assembly. The Type[^] class will give you ways to GetMethods[^] and GetProperties[^]
Once you have that information you can then use any of the various ways to format this information into an apporpriate XML file.
Does this help?

Hi...
I want to use FIFO queue concept for PC serial port communication through PC com port for data transmission or reception.
Can anybody suggest me any good document available on net for this or any suggestion how i can use it in my application...?
Thanks,
Vinay

There's a built-in FIFO queue structure in the form of System.Collections.Generic.Queue.
From there, you could just queue up some communication procedures, each one getting executed in order from the queue.

Thanks for reply...
in my application i'm doing smething like this...
string TransmitData = "My Data To be tranmitted";
// on some button click i am ptting that data in queue
Queue.Enqueue(TransmitData);
Now i want to check that if there is ay data in my queue then i have to transmit it...so how i can check that data is present in Queue or not...& if there are 3-4 requests for same data to be transmitted are present in the queue how i'll identify top most (first in data) & how my application will transmit that data...
SerialPort.Write(TransmitData);
Can u suggest me anything for this...
Regards,
Vinay

Queue<string> myQueue = new Queue<string>();
myQueue.Enqueue("My Data To be transmitted");
if(myQueue.Count > 0)
{
}
string firstItem = myQueue.Peek();
string firstItemNowRemoved = myQueue.Dequeue();

Hi,
Look at the System.Collections.Queue Class which represents a FIFO collection. Conversely, the Stack class represents a LIFO type collection.

No hurries, no worries.

Now I can show PDF-files in Windows Form only.
Could you give me some sample code of AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF who know how to using?
Master sample is how to Print.
May as well Add-ons of others methods of AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF.
Thank you very much!

I'm using the combobox method to validate input data, but the first set of displayed data doesn't get validated because the SelectedIndexChanged won't fire. I tried moving the dataload call into Form.Load but that doesn't work either.

|
|
|
|
How are you creating the loading of the data? Your validations should be done before populating the data controls. What event is firing to cause the population of the data? That seems to be the last place you would validate input.

Hi all,
I'd like to make it possible to store and retrieve the bounds of all of the windows in my mdi window so that the program "remembers" where the user opened a certain window when the program ran last.
To do this, I created a base class which stores the bounds of each window. My problem is this: How can I hook up the right windows to this data? Since some windows are created dynamically and can be instantiated multiple time I need some kind of unique ID for each instance (the window name will not do since this is constructed dynamically). Can I use the window handle for this? Do any of you have a suggestion that might help in this?
All help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance...

You can't use the window handle because this is allocated a new one each time you open a window. You could always use the Tag property to store a unique name.

How about the name of the class deriving from <code>Form</code>. Combined with the namespace name, surely it should be unique within your application?
|
|
|
|
|
Actually it wouldn't, since multiple instances of the same class can be opened at once. Thanks for the suggestion though.
