Yes that is not there. You can use link button for that purpose, it looks like hyperlink but having the click event.

It sound like a way to get the event when the link was pressed but I want the link to be"pressed" from my code.

Hi.
I saw the link button but i think he doest have all the properties of a hyperLink (also, I already have an hyper link in my project so it will require a lot of changes).
I hoped that there is a "click" event for the hyperlink - its look like i was wrong
I'll try to give it another try and if not I'll will change it to linkButton.
Thanks for your replay

But if you are using anchor tag of html then also you have to change your hyperlink to html anchor tag. And also if you are using onclick event for that it will be done on client side not on server side. To use onclick event of anchor tag you can write a javascript function(with the functionality you want) and then you can attach it to the onclick event of the anchor tag of HTML.

I have a ASP.Net 2.0 website, which uses a middle layer Dll. Of course, everything works fine an well on the development box. However, when I "Publish" the website to a local folder and move it to the server - it fails with a 404?
In the same website I have included a basic html file, which if browsed to, will render on the client.
Do I have to register the middle layer dll with the GAC? Shouldn't the .net runtime find the mid-tier assembly in the applicaitons folder and load it?

Is the live server IIS configured to use .NET 1.x or 2.0 for the site. I've had a similar problem when the site was set to use .NET 1 instead of 2.0

You can use window.open method for that purpose in javascript. And Here [^] is details of that method.

Hello,
I have a gridview as below:
CategoryNo | Category | CurrentValue | ForeCastValue | HelpFiles | Comments
I already have pre-defined values for 'Category' & obviously 'Category No' (which is auto & PK). These values are displayed when gridview opens. 'CurrentValue','ForecastValue' & 'Comments' are template fields with textbox controls.
For the 'Help Files' column I have pre-designed Word documents for each Category. I need to display an image in the Help column and link the Respective Word Documents for Each Category. In the past, in one of the other projects I have created a 'Details' page and linked it to the Hyperlink column with an image and opened it in the popoup window with 'javascript:window.open(details.aspx?id={0})' etc...
But here I am a bit lost as to how go about opening word documents for each category as a 'pop-up' help file with an image. I have created a 'Text' data type in the 'Category' Table in Sql Server 2005. In this field as of now I am saving the physical path of the word document for each category again catno. Should I use a Template field with 'DataBind.Eval' or still use hyperlink column to display the link and image?
Using : ASP.Net 2.0, VS2005, VB, SQL Server2005
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi All,
I've got and ASP.NET ATLAS AutoCompleteExtender control on my page, along with a textbox.
ASPX:
<br />
<asp:TextBox ID="txtSearch" runat="server"></asp:TextBox><br />
<asp:AutoCompleteExtender<br />
ID="autoComplete"<br />
runat="server"<br />
MinimumPrefixLength="1"<br />
ServiceMethod="FetchCompanies"<br />
ServicePath="Companies.asmx"<br />
TargetControlID="txtSearch" /><br />
Web Service Code:
<br />
[WebMethod]<br />
public string[] FetchCompanies(string prefixText, int count)<br />
{<br />
CompanyDataWrapper wrapper = new CompanyDataWrapper(m_connection);<br />
return wrapper.FetchCompaniesByPrefix(prefixText.ToUpper());<br />
}<br />
When I start typing in the textbox, nothing happens. No error message, nothing at all. I've tested the web service and it works fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot.
