Use the string.Join method to concatenate the items in the array into a single string.

Hi,
I am creating a designer for a control and would really like to access the Select Resource Dialog to choose an image, however I can not seem to find it anywhere.
The select resource dialog is the one which is shown after clicking the ellipses on the property grid for the Image property for a Button.
Anyone know what this dialog is called?
Thankyou

Many of the editors are implemented based on the type of the property.
Have you tried just implementing a property as such:
...
private Image myControlImage;
[Browsable(true), Category("Design"), Description("Sets an image to display in the Bubbah Control")]
public Image Image
{
get{return myControlImage;}
set{myControlImage=value;}
}

Can anyone advise on some design guidelines or known patterns to implement a custom paging on business objects to use with an ObjectDataSource?

lets say i have the folowing connection string:
"Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename="C:\Project Data\PTMA_database_Data.MDF";Integrated Security=True;Connect Timeout=30;User Instance=True"
the thing is...i have multiple databases, all located in different folders, all folders in c:\Project Data\. the user is supposed to chose the folder from wich the database is suppused to load. But how do i do that...How can i make the connection string look like this:
Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename="C:\Project Data\"+path+"PTMA_database_Data.MDF";Integrated Security=True;Connect Timeout=30;User Instance=True??

First you use a FolderBrowserDialog to have the user point to the appropriate folder. Make sure you set the default directory to start at the C:\Project Data location.
Then after it comes back you use the property within it to find out which folder they chose. Use debugger mode to confirm what you get back, it may provide your entire path name to the folder. In that case you would have:
AttachDbFilename= Path.Combine( browser.FolderName, "PTMA_database");

When we use the operator "+=" with delegate, does it denote multicast.

i think we use "+=" with delegate when we add event handler to any
event and call specific method to handel that event through deligate.

Events are special kind of delegates, and += are used with events, which means an event may have more than one event handlers. So what i concluded is that += (with events) denotes multicast.

+= is applied on events right? and event delegates are multicast delegates.

it denotes but the delegates must return void, for example "public void delegate()"

Hi,
we approached the problem with .NET ErrorProvider componet and localization. When the form contains errorProvider and its language property is switched to some language mutation and then switched back to default, form looses some settings as for example BorderStyle property or DialogResult.OK on Accept button is changed back to DialogResult.None. Did anybody hit to the same problem ?

In my app I am using a ToolStripContainer where one menustrip and three toolstrips are embedded in the TopToolstripPanel.
My problem is that at designtime these strips are moving randomly within the ToolStripPanel after compiling or switching between code and design. Sometimes one toolstrip moves above the menustrip, sometimes, the toolstrips move in one row behind each other.
At runtime the toolbars are alway in the right position.
Does anybody know how to prevent this behaviour?

hi everybody,
Could somebody pls help me to find a solution for this...
I need to calculate the system idle time (I repeat SYSTEM idle time & not application idle time)
I need to logoff the system if the user is not working not only in my application but he is away from his desk...
so definitely Application.Idle is not goin to work since it just triggers for the particular application's idle time
Thanks in Advance,
Enjoy .Netting

This is a really BAD idea. Have you considered the possibility that the user walks away from his desk with an unsaved document open? If you log this person off, any unsaved changes will be lost and that person might come hunting for you with a large weapon.

First of all thanks for the reply...
I think I was not clear on the issue..
What I'm trin to achieve is a kind of screenlock..
Just as what we have in Windows if the system remains idle for a particular time...
Once again thanks for the reply & keenly look forward to ur replies

Hello...
I want to check username, password, and domain together. I always used C++ to do that. That means, I give username, password and domain, and the return value is true or false.
Now I changed to C# 2.0. Are there any classes or methods to do that ?
Probably using DirectoryService ?
Can anybody show me the right way how to do that ?
Thanks...

In the button click event, check the .Text property of the textbox and see if it is empty or not.

Slartibartfast - "No. That's perfectly normal paranoia. Everybody in the universe gets that."
