It is not good to put huge data in session because it will cause a lot of problem later on. You can opt for some alternative for your requirement if you are having a huge data. BTW if you don't have many records you can put that datatable in session.

You can use all the server free memory. But remember the session, two user with the same session var the free memory is the half for each one.
keep Learning and you never will be out of date...

if u want to share the data between the 2 users then you can use the aplication object for that otherwise session object is the right way to put the data.
it will not effect the performance of the application.

Something like this may work:
ASCIIEncoding asciiEncoding = new ASCIIEncoding();
byte[] sendBytes = asciiEncoding.GetBytes( sendText );
MemoryStream memoryStream = new MemoryStream( sendBytes );
Response.ClearContent();
Response.ClearHeaders();
//Response.ContentType = "application/octet-stream";
Response.AddHeader("Content-Length", memoryStream.Length.ToString() );
Response.AddHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment;filename=bs.bad" );
//Response.Charset = "UTF-8";
Response.BinaryWrite(sendBytes);
Response.Flush();
Response.End();

If you just want to show a message box on a click of a button then you can do it like this:
Button1.Attributes.Add("onclick", "javascript: alert('hi test');");

thats right..but i want to call a javascript in 'if else' loop. so can in call javascript only in one condition
|
|
|
|
|
you can write a javascript function and then call that function on onclick of the button. Alternatively you can also write two functions and call them based upon your if else criteria.

For this you can write a simple javascript validate function and call that function on onclick of the button. In that button you just have to check whether any of the radiobuttons have been checked or not. And I don't think so that because of this validate function any of your other javascript function will get affected. Here[^] you can get the example of how to validate a radio button.

Hi All,
My requirement is like this:--
Suppose if i have a table having numerous cols as well as rows , i need to make the header always visble and there shouldn't be paging(so as to avoid postbacks). Also the page shouldn't be lengthy to accomodate all the records.
A <div> is a possible solution for this. But as we scroll down the div the header also goes up, instead i need to make the header fixed and scroll thru the records so as to make out the title of each column.
Please help me out with an answer.
Thank You.

Jeeva
