HI GUYS,
FIRST OF ALL THANKS FOR THE REPLY.....
ISN'T IT POSSIBLE TO CALL SOME WINDOWS API THAT CAN DO THIS JOB FOR ME?
BUT I DONT HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHICH API OR HOW?
OR JUST PUT IT THE OTHER WAY...
HOW DOES Windows SCREENLOCK WORK? ANY IDEA?
|
|
|
|
|
Hi!
The corresponding Win32 function is called LockWorkStation and located in user32.dll .
You can simply use this code:
using System.Runtime.InteropServices;
public class ScreenLock
{
[DllImport("user32.dll")]
public static extern bool LockWorkStation();
}

thanks mav.
But how do I know the system idle time?
Does the API does it by itself(I hope no).....?
If I use Application.Idle definitely its not gonna to work.
Is there anything like System.Idle ?
thanks once again for the help & still look forward to you suggestions...

Hi,
Can you please tell me how can I go to the last visited tab (not the first one, as the default tabControl behaver is) when the current tab is removed?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

hi,
try saving the index of the last visited tabcontrol in a global variable. it is easy to do. Declare a global variable and use the tab index change event. and asign the past index to the variable when this index changes to another.
hope it helps

to use a variable doesn't just solve the problem. for instance if you turn off 2 or more tabs consecutively it won't work.
if you use a routine that allows to include and to remove several tabs then it should use a LIFO.
when eliminating a tab it removes all the occurrences of this in the LIFO and go back to the last tab of the LIFO.

Hi ALL,
We have a standalone application which was developed in C#.Net.
Now we want to develop the same as an Eclipse Plug-in.
Since I'm a beginner to Java & its related technologies,
if you could suggest me a good way to do this,
it would be highly appreciated.
In this regard, I have the following specific queries:
1) Will I get the similar look-and-feel (atleast to the nearest)
in my Eclipse plugin?
2) Is there a Java counterpart to most of the .Net components
(Properties editor, Grid view, etch.,) ?
3) Is there any tools available to convert a .Net application
into a Java application? If so, to what extent it would be helpful?
Kindly bear my newbie-questions.
Thanks in advance,
Sarvan AL

1 - I dunno, but it won't be exact, as Eclipse uses horrid Java UI components
2 - No.
3 - No.

Can you please tell me why is that and how can I solve it?
if (backgroundWorker.IsBusy) <br />
System.Diagnostics.Process.GetCurrentProcess().Kill(); <br />
Application.Exit();
Does the work, but I have a feeling that this is not a proper way to do it!
Please help. Thank you in advance.

You can't. You'll have to find another way to write your virus.

No brother...
I don't want to make virus...
Just wanna to do an application..

A hidden application. Users have a right to know what processes are running on their machines.

Hi,
I am using DataGridView in my application.I am creating a datatable which has fields whose DataType are Text,Boolean and Datetime.
I am assigning the created datatable as the datasource for the DataGridView.
But the value displayed in the DataGrid for the DateTime field is different from the Value present in the Datatable.
Ex: if the value for one of the DateTime field in the DataTable is 11/09/2006 10:04:40 PM,it is shown in the DataGrid as 11/09/2006 10:04 PM the seconds value is not shown.
When i checked the properties for the DataGrid Cell the EditedFormattedValue was 11/09/2006 10:04 PM and Value was 11/09/2006 10:04:40 PM.
This is happening for only the DateTime field.
Any idea why is it happening.

I have a C# application that calls an unmanaged C++ dll. I keep getting a "System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" exception when running it on one machine. However, it works fine on another machine.
Both of the machines are running on Windows XP SP2 using the .Net 1.0 framework.
Does anyone have a clue what the problem might be?
Thanks in advance.

How would you allow a user to type only two digits after a decimal point is typed?
I'm pulling my hair out on this one. I cant even figure out the logic.
I want the user to type in a PRICE for something. For example they will type "23.95" the problem is they can continue typing and end up with "23.956766737" money doesn't work like that.
Is there a way to count position backwards?
yeah boy

I've done this before. You handle the keypressed event of the control, and you have to work out where the cursor is, what key was pressed, and if the key pressed is inserted where the cursor is, will result in a number that is valid. If not, set e.Handled to true. If Char.IsControl on the char pressed, you don't want to set handled to true.
There is a masked edit control in .NET 2.0, but I think it is nasty.

I have a subClass that extends the System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser and overrides the WndProc in hopes to capture the standard context menu that ie uses.
As soon as the browsers loads the document i am not able to capture the context menu using the CONTEXTMENU.. Can someone tell me or POINT me to the correct documentation so that i can get access to the context menu and add a couple items to it..
Thanks very much!
Erik
---This is the method that i am using to get access to the menu; and then from their i can do the rest. I just need to know how to get access to this context Menu..
