I will preface this by saying I am not a programmer. I can usually customize code to suit my needs but that's about it.
I hope I can describe what I am looking for.
I am looking to count how many times a button (just an image with a _blank url) is pressed and show that count on another page.
I've attempted to Google this with no good results.
If you can't help me can you point me in the right direction? I'm doing this for work. Not something I am hired to do but as a freelancer I try to give as much as I can.

I have a question about uploading files with PHP that I was hoping someone could help me with. I am able to upload a .txt file to a directory I created called uploads, however when I open the file with my text editor it is blank. When I list the files in this directory with the ls –la command it says the owner of the file is apache and not my username. The permission are –rw-------, so I do not think I have read permission since I am not the owner, however it will not let me change the permissions on the file. It says, changing permissions is not permitted.

What OS is the server running on?

the web site show runtime error
this is the error
An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.)
the problem occur when the web site run into the server but
when run into vwd the page work correct
in vwd i used the data base in the server
i use vwd2005

Is the SQL Server on the same box as the web app? if so try using localhost as the host location.
or else you have to confiore the access rights in your SQL Server to allow connections from the IP of the box you are connecting from. Remember that if it not in your LAN you use your IP, else you use your... LAN IP (im tired).

Enter the LAN IP of the computer with the SQL Server.
Example:
192.186.0.4
Every network is structured differently. Google the topic to get information. If you are in an office ask the companies Admin for the SQL Server's IP.

when i copy the html of asp page and put it in .net (aspx page), the appearance of the page is damaged and changed from the appearance of asp classic
is this problem has relation to standard html and nonstandard html?

Classic ASP is really a HTML template embedded into javascript or vbscript. The Visual Studio editor is expecting HTML or HTML/ASP.NET. You can modify the behavior of the editor by going to the Tools menu and selecting Options/Text Editor/HTML

According to folks in their forum, it should work on a ASP.NEt 2.0 form, but for the life of me, I can't get it to work. Can someone with more asp.net experience than me try to make it work on a sample page?

It is a DHTML calendar. So you have to access it via DHTML and interface with the server-side ASP.NET by posting back via an <input> command, using AJAX, or create a ASP.NET control that wraps the DHTML Calendar with the necessary javascript to communicate with it.

First of all that's quite a nice control.
I've made a sample project in VS2005 that uses it, and I've uploaded it here[^]
I tweaked a bit the setup process, to be suitable for ASP.NET ease of use.
As you will see I've embedded the Calendar.setup function in a custom setup function (myCalendarSetup) and registered the client-side script from code behind. As you see I'm using the control.ClientID property to get the name the control will have once is registered in the page. As you probably know, depending on the hierarchy of controls the control is embedded in, it's name and ID will be proceeded by ctlnr_ ...
Also note that myCalendarSetup function is called when the page has finished loading (thus placed in the body tag delegated to the onload event).
Basically all you need to do when adding a calendar to a page is add the myCalendarSetup function to the body onload event, call the ClientScript.RegisterClientScriptBlock... from codebehind on PageLoad and of course link the needed js in the head section of the page.
I think the sample project above is straightforward, so I will stop with the boring talk.

Hi Friends,
I am stuck at a point in flash, as I am not a flash developer.
I have to show images from ms-access database into flash.
there is a project table. and other table is images in which i am storing all images related to project.
I have manged to show projects in flash , also I am able to fetch images but
I can not show them as a cycle
like i fetched first project information and there are 3 images related to that project
I have fetched them
I want to fade images one by one and then move to 2nd project and fetch all images of 2nd project and so on.....
Please help in this regard as I am stukc since last 1 week.
I found some hlep on internt but those examples are using buttons to move to next image or record but I need to automate hole process.
I would be obliged if some one send me sample or if you need my .fla, ms-acces and .asp related pages please do not hesitate.

On Button Postback an Aspx Page runs the following onclick C# event handler:

I received error in Response.Flush() – The remote host closed the connection.(HttpException).
If I use Response.End() in place of Response.Flush() receive WMPlayer(on the Client) error about there is not codecs for playing sending stream. It possible that sending stream from ASP.Net Page is wrong because on client PC mp3 codecs are installed.
I try to use Response.WriteFile(filename) instead of Response.BinaryWrite(ar) and received the same errors.
Note : I see that after “Response.BinaryWrite(ar)” , in debugger Response.OutputStream.Length property is showing a SystemNotSupportedException.
My question:
Can Asp.Net Page send audio to client as other binary content “application/pdf”,”image/gif”, i.e ?

The Session_Star fires but Session_End does not. Why?
