Unfortunately that's not possible with a standard ddl - though there are a couple of articles on this very site that implement custom controls to do so...

Hi
If u want to insert a blank row into the datagrid then u can use datarow.
create a datarow as per ur fields in grid. Keep the values of datarow as null. Insert that datarow in the datatable and bind the grid again with the new datatable u created.
I hope i understand ur question

For anyone to be able to provide you with any information towards a solution, you have to supply a bit more information.
Exactly what do you mean when you say that your project "is not running" in Internet Explorer? What happens? What is it that doesn't work? Do you get any error messages?
What version of Internet Explorer have you tried it in?

You should use the DataFormatString property to format the data as you wish.
In your case it would be something like: {0:#,###}
it does not work. the numbers still show up without any formatting
<code>
<asp:boundcolumn datafield="Visits" headertext="Visits" dataformatstring="{0:#,###,###}" >
<headerstyle width="100px" cssclass="blackFont"></headerstyle>
<itemstyle horizontalalign="right" width="100px" verticalalign="middle"></itemstyle>
</asp:boundcolumn>
</code>

Try adding an HTMLEncode="false" to the same line...

In ie we can fire the event from popup window to opener as
opener.document.all('b1').fireEvent("onclick");
b1 - is button in parent.
how to implement this in firefox?
In Firefox (or anything else but IE for that fact) you cannot use document.all which is a good reason to try to avoid it.
Therefore instead of document.all you should use getElementById such as:
document.getElementById("b1")
Also, in Firefox you don't have fireEvent. You could instead either dispatchEvent (as described here: http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/DOM:element.dispatchEvent) or you could retrieve the handler yourself and call it explicitly

Hi,
Is there another way of directing a user to a new page, when he clicks a button, that is on a different server?
I use reponse.redirect, but I heard that is not the best way.
Here is an example: The user is on http://intranet/pages/page1.aspx, and when he clicks a button, he loads another page http://server02/pages/page2.aspx in the browser...
There is nothing wrong with Response.Redirect but do you really need to do this in code?
Can't you do it on client-side? Such as using a link button? in that case after click the browser is being redirected straight to the other page as opposed to posting back to your application therefore saving an entire postback.

Dani: that's "what's wrong with Response.Redirect()"

That is wrong with missusing Response.Redirect() (or at least one of them, as we could consider some scenarios where Server.Transfer would be better as well) but not with the feature itself. There are plenty scenarios where it is needed and there is no better alternative.

Hi,
The problem I have is that I build up the URL string via code behind functions and variables, and then sending the user to a page in a window with no toolbar, directory, etc. The user should also not see to which page he is being redirected. If he goes "view source" on the new page or check the properties, that is ok... but he should not see the page URL in the status bar or in the location URL field.
Will this still work if I use the link button?
