You can't expect anybody to do your homework for you, which it appears is what you want based on the rest of this thread. What you CAN do, is browse through CodeProject, and look for samples, of which there are plenty. If all you want is a basic text editor (no syntax coloring, etc.), you can do so with a multiline text box. Then, just add in menus to the main window, and a context menu to your text box, and you're set.
If you're looking for an advanced editor, then you're going to need to use the Rich Text control (or roll your own, which is orders more difficult).
Either way, you'll have to do the work yourself, and not expect someone else to do it for you. If someone else does it, you don't learn anything, and we end up with another programmer in the job pool who can't hack it in the work force.

Don't wait to hear a word of thanks from anybody when you help them instead ask them to help three other people and ask them to continue in chain.

Hi all,
I want to make some controls on my form visible only when the mouse is over the form.
To that end, i set Visible=true in the onmouseenter event of the form, and visible=false in the onmouseleave.
However, when you move the mouse over the controls that are newly made visible, the onmouseleave event fires and the control is made invisible again. Then, since the control disappears, the onmouseenter event fires again, start a cycle of flickering.
Can anyone think of a way round this? I can see no way of telling where the mouse went (ie, did it leave the bounds of the form? or did it enter a control on the form) and thus no way of properly implementing this feature.
Any ideas?
thanks
jon

Have you tried placing the control on a div, and showing/hiding that?

I'm sorry i wasn't explicit. This is a Windows Forms application, hence the title stating Form.OnMouseEnter.
Thanks
Jon

You can avoid flickers but playing with flags...
|
|
|
|
|
The flicker is due to the fact that the control is constantly being hidden and unhidden. My form is optimized double buffered anyway.. But the flicker is not my problem here, it's the side effect.

Hi,
I suggest you create a class implementing IMessageFilter so that you catch WM_MOUSEMOVE messages. Google for IMessageFilter, Application.AddMessageFilter and Aplication.RemoveMessageFilter

How can we set maximum value in NumericUpDown, while using the keyBoard

You've asked the exact question twice (at least) previously. What was wrong with the solutions on those posts?
Maybe you could elaborate on the questions slightly - including the code you have currently - this will help you get decent answers.

Use a larger size paper?

Smaller font?

thank u
but how can I Use a larger size paper or
Displaying it in 2 rows instead of 1

In Designer->Printer Setup, choose a bigger size paper (instead of A4, choose A3).
Of cause you will need to have the right printer to print it out. If the purpose of the report is only for display and not for printing, it will serve the purpose.
To display in 2 rows, example
1 row:
Group------------------------------------------------------------------
Column1 Column2 Column3 Column4 Column5 Column6
Detail-----------------------------------------------------------------
AAAAAAA BBBBBBB CCCCCCC DDDDDDD EEEEEEE FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
2 rows
Group--------------------------------------
Column1 Column2 Column3 Column4 Column5
Column6
Detail-------------------------------------
AAAAAAA BBBBBBB CCCCCCC DDDDDDD EEEEEEE
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

What exactly would you like to know? Country? City? Address?
You can get the country, and the city where the ISP is. But there is no way to get the address or geographical coordinates.

In fact there is... There are several tables of data around the internet containing (modified) IP data. They're able to convert a certain IP to a country (code). Only thing to remember is, the moment you use the list, it could be outdated. I used this technique to find out where a visitor of my website comes from and be able to 'select' a default language for them.
