I am using version 7.0.5730.11.
The limit for both Firefox 2.0 and IE 7 is somewhere between 1900 and 2000 characters.

I think that its a problem with your default mail client and not with your page.

I checked that out as well with Outlook Express 6.0 and MS Outlook 2007. I tried it in all permutations in around 15 systems in my office.

I am trying to deploy a web service to a remote computer. The remote computer is on the local network.
On my development computer I have a webservice that just displays hello world. On the solution I click copy web site.
I connect to the remote computer and send the web.config, and service.asmx over to the remote IIS.
I then go back to my developer machine and try and view the service.asmx over the internet. I get this following message.
Server Error in '/webserviceTest' Application.
Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.
I thought this would be a straight forward thing, but i have spent many hours trying to solve.
Does anyone have any ideas, thank very much,

Yes I see it. The Variable that holds the SQL statement is called "$querry", whereas you refer to it as "$query".
In addition to that you have made optimization mistakes.

While that may seem to be a subtle difference it can save about 25-40% of the time it takes in execution (essential for large amounts of printed data)

Hello all,
I've inherited a site that has a table-based layout . The center TD in the table is where all the content goes. We can't change the layout from a table-based one just yet, but they still want the content in the center TD to scroll while the rest of the layout remains unmoved. They'd also like to accomplish this without the use of frames and without scrollbars appearing. I think this is likely to be impossible without breaking out of the table-based layout. Just so I have asked people smarter than me though, any ideas on how to make this happen?

Why wouldn't they want scrollbars in the center cell, if they intend it to scroll? 
Regardless, you can probably just set the dimensions of the table such that the whole thing fits on screen at once (100%x100%, assuming there are no margins or padding on the body). Then do the same for the table cells and use the overflow:hidden style on the center TD (overflow:auto would show scrollbars).

The 100% specifier has (in my experience) been less than ideal because it sets the width/height at 100% of the page load size and doesn't resize the object if the window resizes.
Maybe I just expect different things from 100%...

Hey just whilst you're reading Chris, I was wondering if you are trying to channel more Web Dev to CP..
I love CP and it is pretty much the only forum I use.... But my primary Web Language is PHP and JAVA (I call it Pava).
Anyway that is besides the point, are you trying to encourage more Web Developers to go to the forums, or are you just sticking to .NETers?

Funny thing 'bout that: it works fine in quirks mode, but screws up in standards mode.
You know, i hate to say it, but i'm starting to suspect that the CSS support in IE6 is just a tad... half-baked.
