If you're using VB.NET, you can use the string.Format method to format a number to have a fixed number of digits. And, of course, put the B in front of it.

Hi,
Good day everyone.
Why is it the RowFilter property of RelatedDataView class
does not filter the records.
Here's my code snippet,
ctype(ctype(me.BindingContext(GridControl.DataSource,"MyRelation"),CurrencyManager).List,DataView).RowFilter="IsRecorded=True"
Is there any other ways to filter records in RelatedDataView class?
Hoping for positive response.

Your question is a bit confusing. Are you asking how to create a folder on another machine in a folder that your username doesn't have any rights to? Simple - you can't. If your ID doesn't have any rights to that machine, or to the folder that you want to create something in, you're simply not going to be able to do it. Any code that you launch runs in your security context. That means it impersonate you. If you don't have the rights, any code you launch wont have them either.

Hi,
I want to add some fixed day value in a date type variable in VB.Net but it show error.
Example like below:
dim PDate as date
Pdate=today.date
pdate=pdate+5
last line shows error. what should i do for this type of increment in date field. Please give me any solution.
Thanks.
|
|
|
|

The problem is that you are trying to convert a type Integer to type Date . Instead you should use this:
Dim PDate As Date
PDate = Today.Date
PDate = Today.AddDays(5)

Not sure what kind of example you are looking for, here is one:
If myCheckBox.checked Then
MessageBox.Show("myCheckBox is Checked")
Else
MessageBox.Show("myCheckBox is not Checked")
End If
If you try to write that in English, I might be able to understand more than a fraction of it. - Guffa

Please don't delete your questions, it's really annoying. Unless it was in the wrong forum, which doesn't seem to be the case, you should leave it alone.

Hi,
I want to show multiple forms at different times.
for example after say 10secs form1 pops up, then after say 25 secs form2 pop ups.
I'm using the timer function to help me, however I think i may need a certain type of loop embedded within a loop. the code below currently shows both forms at once.
Private Sub Timer1_Tick(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Timer1.Tick
If numberofcalls = 0 Then
Dim popup As New Alternative1
popup.Show()
numberofcalls = 1
Timer1.Interval = 25000
End If
If numberofcalls = 1 Then
Dim popup2 As New Alternative2
popup2.Show()
numberofcalls = 2
Timer1.Interval = 30000
End If
thanks in advance.

public frm2 as new ALT2
write in timer tick sub
static t as integer
t+=1

When application starts it'shows first welcome form so user need to type their name and after it shows main form for application

Dim MyForm2 As New frmSQuiz
If Trim(txtName.Text) = "" Then
MsgBox("Please enter your name", MsgBoxStyle.Exclamation, "Error")
Exit Sub
Else
' Sets the timer interval to 3 seconds.
Timer1.Start()
picQuiz.Visible = True
While Timer1.Interval = 3000
Timer1.Stop()
picQuiz.Visible = False
MyForm2.Show()
MyForm2.ActiveForm.Text = "Well Come " & Address & " to Type - In - Answer Section ...."
End While
End If
wating for ur kind reps.

Just starting and stopping the timer will not cause any delay. You have to use the Tick event of the timer to wait for the first interval.
