problem uploading to hosting server licec6-Dec-06 23:03 licec 6-Dec-06 23:03  hi there, i would appreciate some help. i have written a web application in asp.net (visual basic.net). when i run the application on another pc by changing the sql server name in my connection strings it works fine. when the web host puts the folder on their server, after changing the sql server name in my connection strings to their sql server's name, their server returns no errors but won't display any data. they are networking guys and wouldn't know how to help and as everything is working on my pc i don't know what is wrong. any suggestions? thanks View Source Khan.Bangash6-Dec-06 22:24 Khan.Bangash 6-Dec-06 22:24  Hi All I have a page in which I Send some important Data in hiden fields. If you don't want the data to be available to anyone, don't put it in the page. Even if you are able to disable 'View source' code in browser, that still doesn't prevent users to see your source code (anybody can make own 'browser', or just write few lines of code to run WebRequest and retrieve source of your html). If you need to pass any sensible data, use ViewState, for example (anyway, it is not 100% secure, but it is not in plain text at least) override LoadViewState and SaveViewState method of your ASP.NET page to implement this functionality. Then subject and Body test field.
