Attempting to searh code project keeps giving me an error page (below).
I'm attempting to search for 'base 2' (as I want to know how to express a number in binary rather than base 10 or hex).
The destination url is: http://www.codeproject.com/info/search.asp?target=base+2&st=kw&qm=all
The error returned is:
ADODB.Command error '800a0e7d'
Requested operation requires an OLE DB Session object, which is not supported by the current provider.
/includes/contents_start.asp, line 14
Just keeping you busy Chris!

Chris, I wasn't going to say anything because it souded like others were having the same problems and you were working on it but I am not getting ANY notifications.
I have been trying to live with it, but it is starting to drive me absolutely batty.
I have not gotten a single notification in about two weeks, (not exactly sure of the time span just guessing here). I get the newsletter Ok, just not any notifications.
I am using the e-mail adress all the time, so I know my end is working.
Sorry to be a pest, but I have trouble keeping up without my notifications. Threads get buried so fast.

Hey Jason,
Notifications from articles or replies to your posts?

Replies to posts.
I am too damn lazy to write articles.
Actually I do have several in the works, but I have had even less luck getting anything done on them than I have had getting anything done with the several programming projects I have on the back burner.
I must have the biggest back burner in the universe.
<edit>
Hmm, that was kinkier sounding than I intended. I better go drink some more caffeine.

hi chris,
First of all visual c++ is so vast. Then, users have so many questions and doubts that others with similar ones cannot find them easily.
So ,I suggest(like my hard disk) organise visual c++ into API and MFC
In MFC, make activex,com,controls,internet etc.
In controls,make buttons,trees etc.
This will greatly help the new visitors and also regulars like me.
***May be even C++ and visual C++ and then the rest as above***
{an archive of most asked questions can help).
-good luck and cheers.

It looks like its bust again as I got a bad one again. My MS-Express failed to read MIME body correctly.
Back to the drawing board.

When you quote somebody else's text the emoticons don't appear. Which, I presume is to do with the fact that html tags aren't quoted, hence removing the [img] tag from the message. Would it be possible to put in a little bit of code to look out for the [img] tags and replace with the correct text when quoting... It's just a little thing.
hehe.. a rose [btw. I've had too much coke today!!!]

Just noticed that when you try to delete a message the button has "Delete Article" on it...

Yeah, I've noticed that too.
Doesn't matter much I guess.

Here's some trivia for you: When Uwe wrote the original forum scripts 2 years ago he referred to messages as 'articles'. Even though I've rewritten the scripts about a dozen times the internal API still refers to messages as articles, and very occasionally you'll find the word 'article' popping up instead of 'message'.

Hi
How about adding a ViewProfile link adjacent to the [Reply], [Email Author] etc links ?
This link will show up a page containing the bio of the author who posted the message.Presently we have to navigate out of Lounge or other forums and go to WhosWho page and search.Of course this is just suggestion !!

Haven't you ever clicked on the head-icon?
Now there are other non-head icons too, but you get the idea I guess.
