I mean to say that you need to ask specific questions. Try writing the application and when you have a specific problem, post it here for help.

Generally, it is used for diagnostic purposes. To measure performance, to detect bug etc.
M. Atul wrote: and how is develop in VC++.
You can use simple IO operations for logging i.e use a temperory file, which will be created for certain builds, or depend on certain environment variables.
Event log can also be used for this purpose.

If you don't know what it's used for, how do you know you want one?

Hai
I have requirement in project that I have to debug from command line in Visual Studio 2005 editor.
I know that we can put break point in any function and through F5 key we can start debugging our application.
But I want debug through command line. i.e if I put break point in any of the functions of my application.
Then must be able initiate the debug process of my application from the command prompt.
Like C:\MySample\Debug\MySample.exe is used to run the application from the command prompt.
But I want to run my application from the command prompt in the debug mode so that control stops at the desired breakpoint of the function call.
Pls lets me know the process.
ThankingYou

check DebugBreak() function.

Use _ASSERT(0); Or DebugBreak(); where you want to stop the application.
then choose debug when Error occur.

.cctor is the name of a class's static constructor. Are you building this project as managed code? If so ask in the managed C++ forum.

Thanx Micheal for the reply, and yes I think I'm using managed C++, so I'll check the forum out....

You can respond to the WM_SIZING message as with any window.
For the dialog resource, set Border property to Resizing.

You can use WM_SIZING message to add OnSizing event handler to your app.
As mark said set border prop to Resizing.
You can also use minimize and maximize box.

Hi
I done it as you told. But the dialogbox only getting resize. Resources inside dialogbox (buttons, edit boxes, etc., ) are not resizing.
I nedd to do that resizing resources inside dialogbox.
How can i do that ?
Kindly help me.
Thanks.

Dialog's don't automatically reposition their controls, you'll need to write (or reuse) code to do that. You don't say if you're using a class library, but WTL has CDialogResize and there are many MFC-based solutions here on CP.

Of course.
There are many samples of auto-resizing dialogs. Look for samples in this site and other sites.

You can use following WIN32 function to open file
HFILE OpenFile(
LPCSTR lpFileName,
LPOFSTRUCT lpReOpenBuff,
UINT uStyle
);
then again using following function you can read the file...
BOOL ReadFile(
HANDLE hFile,
LPVOID lpBuffer,
DWORD nNumberOfBytesToRead,
LPDWORD lpNumberOfBytesRead,
LPOVERLAPPED lpOverlapped
);
hFile
[in] A handle to the file to be read.
lpBuffer
[out] A pointer to the buffer that receives the data read from a file.
nNumberOfBytesToRead
[in] The maximum number of bytes to read.
lpNumberOfBytesRead
[out] A pointer to the variable that receives the number of bytes read.
If lpOverlapped is NULL, lpNumberOfBytesRead cannot be NULL.
If lpOverlapped is not NULL, lpNumberOfBytesRead can be NULL.
If this is an overlapped read operation, you can get the number of bytes read by calling "GetOverlappedResult".
