Hello to all ,
We would like to write a web application that will be able to run both on a
PC and a PDA . The application will use Web Services to get the data from the server and will
represent it using a GUI .
We wish to use AJAX in the client side both on the PC and the PDA .
The main problem we're facing is that the UI in the PDA is much smaller than
the UI on the PC .
Does anyone know a good solution that can help us achieve the above task ?
Thanks in advance ,
Uri

hi.
i seems you might have to skip some content in case of PDA. have you considered using CSS/XSL to manage the content.?

Looking for someone (not too expensive) to give me prices to answer questions for me as listed in this forum. Look at questions posted in this section on 14/12/06, where subject line begins with "CB:"

Heh heh... friend, you need more than just a few answers. You need mentoring on how to figure out the easy stuff, saving blasting the list for the truly troublesome ones.
First off. . . what are you trying to build with no experience?
You claim some app to make your million with. And a lot of questions regarding coords.
Some background info might help. And again, there's probably an article that has what you're looking for here in Code Project. Just search it out.
Send me an email if you're serious. At the least I could help you improve your researching methods. I'm not interested in being an intro to programming book.

Hello everyone,
I am using Visual Studio 2005, and I want to build some binaries for a new Pocket PC (Windows Mobile 2005, ARM V5te). This device is really cool, which is Intel PXA27x series!
But, I can not find SDK used in Visual Studio 2005 to build binaries -- only for ARM4 series.
So, I am wondering the two questions,
1. whether there are any SDK for Visual Studio 2005 to make build for ARM 5 platform?
2. whether ARM 4 is 100% compatible with ARM 5 (if it is, I could use existing Windows Mobile 2005 SDK's ARM 4 toolchain to make the build and run on ARM 5).
thanks in advance,
George

I just purchased a Mobile 5.0 device using an ARM920T PXA27x. I'm using EVC++ 4.0 to program it with the PPC 2003 2E SDK. After I compile and attempt to upload the binary, the system tells me that the binary might not work with the HH. I've been telling it to ignore and upload anyway, and thus far, I've had no problems. That's not to say that none will happen - it's just that the things I'm doing are not causing any conflicts at this time.
Also, and I think you might already know about, but there is an SDK for Mobile 5.0 on Microsoft Mobile Developement website.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/developers/default.mspx
Try this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/mobility/windowsmobile/howto/resourcekit/default.aspx

Thanks dude! You are so rich!!
I have a question to you. I think you should use the right SDK for the right device. You are using PPC 2003 to build native program, I am wondering which architecture are you using? ARMv4?
Do you know whether ARM 4 is compatible with ARM 5?
regards,
George

Hi All
How do I use code to go into a table housing X and Y values, and add J to the X-Value of co-ordinate pair number Z, where Z is validated to be less than or equal to N (and N is the number of co-ordinate pairs)
For Example:
Table:
X: 2 4 6 8 10
Y: 3 6 9 12 15
N = 5
J = 3
Z = 2
Co-ordinate pair no Z, = Co-ordinate pair number 2 = (4;6). X-Value of this pair = 4. We need to add J (in this case 3) to 4. In other words we need to go into the table and change 4 to 7.
Thanks in anticipation

You have just exceeded the Number of Questions/Day limit. As a result none of your questions would be answered.

Oops, I was just kidding.No rules on number of questions to be posted per day or whatever.But when ask too many question in a single stretch people would doubt your intention.

Does it normally take this long to get answers to questions. Any idea (or even a guess) what I can expect to pay to get someone to provide the answers to all my questions as listed above. I'm in a bit of a hurry (to make my million with the solution I want to develop ) Cheers.

Getting answers is just like fishing with a bait, You need patience to get someone respond to it. If you ever say you are in a hurry,It's like stirring up the pond. No one will respond! And moreover present your question in a better way, for ex:
Using <pre> , <code> tags when you paste a code.
init()
<br />
DrawGraph(x,y)
instead of saying "Hey!,I've got a problem, Hurry up!".. Ok good luck ..
Note:Sometimes you get a shoe in your bait! , It's all in the game! byebye

I didn't understand some of the technical presentation methods you spoke about, but as for the rest of your message: "Pure Words of Wisdom". If they were your own, you're gonna go very far in life. If you "borrowed" them, you'll probably go further. Kind of like the saying: When I'm good, I'm good. When I'm bad, I'm even better.
PS: I hate fishing. Imagine if fish pointed sticks with hooks toward the beaches and said: "Let's go humaning"

I've seen this in a pop video[I think it's by Aerosmith]. The concept looked really good :->
IMPORTANT NOTE:
CB, this is a technical forum, So OTs [Off-Topics] wouldn't look good[& Chris won't like it too] if we are going to take it for more than 3 replies. So when we want to say something that's non technical we can go to
"The Lounge"^ This is a garden!!
And if you wanna blast something, about politics, religion,terror, or anything simply :"Suitable for only above 18 stuff" you can go to the
SoapBox^ It's a dreaded island! just like the kingkong's. or the Jurassicpark, it's boudaries are fully livewired!
And if you wanna say something to someone personally, you can go to their blog page, for example you'd wish to make a visit to my cp-homepage, so you can click on the icon that's on the left of my name. It takes you
here^

Could you produce code to show me how to apply validation (together with helpful messages) so that if any one of four input boxes on a form do not contain integers from 1 through 10, then clicking the Run button must fail to run the applet. Instead, this action should produce a dialogue box to specify which input/s is/are unacceptable.
I am using VB.net for Pocket PC (Compact Framework).
Thanks in anticipation.

Your questions are funny. Most are available within MSDN docs. The first thing you need to learn in programming is how to look up your own information. You're just asking for trouble with so many intro questions. This one here though is fun so I'll answer it.
No code though. Do your own work.
The TextBox control has the event KeyPressed. Respond to this event and check the KeyPressEventArgs object var KeyChar to see what character is being pressed. If it isn't one you want, then set the Handled member to true. Setting it to false will allow the event to be handled by the system and allow the character entered.
Good luck, you need to study some.

How do I generate a labelled Table of (x;y) co-ordinate pairs, where:
Input N = the number of co-ordinate pairs,
Input A = the X Value of the first Co-ordinate pair,
Input B = The Y Value of the first Co-ordinate pair and,
X = (1.2 * Y)

Hi again
Is there any way to customise the Tab Buttons on forms, so that they each have a unique colour and a 3D look?
I'm using VB.net for Pocket PC (Compact Framework)
Thanks.

Hello All.
Is there any way to customise the Tab Buttons on forms during run time to indicate to a user that there is something on the tab that they need to check out.
For example: If a click event on one Tab updates info on a few other tabs, the updated tabs should change colour so as to let the user know that there is "stuff" on these tabs that they need to check out. I am using VB.net for Pocket PC (Compact Framework)
You dealing with a Newbie, so kindly keep the Fog Index as low as possible.
