Mahesh KulkarniIs there any way to count digits from the string?
What exactly do you mean by this? Are you wanting the length of the string, or the actual count of numeric digits (0-9) within the string?

yes, but there is no direct way.
How, in pseudocode, would you do it ? if you can do it, then translating it to C/C++ would be simple.

a simple for() loop can accomplish this by counting from variable[0] - variable[?], waiting until you find the '/0' character.

Hi.,
there is no way to block packets using WinPcap. If you need to block packets, you have to use driver development.

Hi,
gethostbyname ... has been deprecated
use:
int getaddrinfo(
const char* nodename,
const char* servname,
const struct addrinfo* hints,
struct addrinfo** res
);
addrinfo host;
LPADDRINFO res;
...
host.ai_flags = AI_CANONNAME;
host.ai_protocol = IPPROTO_TCP;
host.ai_family = PF_INET;
host.ai_socktype = SOCK_STREAM;
getaddrinfo( strMachineName, NULL, &host, &res );
