Try this javascript man...
function GetDayOfMonth(DayCtrlName, MonthCtrlName, YearCtrlName){
var DayCtrl=document.getElementById(DayCtrlName);
var MonthCtrl=document.getElementById(MonthCtrlName);
var YearCtrl=document.getElementById(YearCtrlName);
var lastDayValue=DayCtrl.value;
var DaysCount=31;
if (MonthCtrl.options[MonthCtrl.selectedIndex].value=='2' &&
(parseInt(YearCtrl.options[YearCtrl.selectedIndex].value)%4)==0){
DaysCount=29;
}else if (MonthCtrl.options[MonthCtrl.selectedIndex].value=='2'){
DaysCount=28;
}else if (MonthCtrl.options[MonthCtrl.selectedIndex].value=='4' ||
MonthCtrl.options[MonthCtrl.selectedIndex].value=='6' ||
MonthCtrl.options[MonthCtrl.selectedIndex].value=='9' ||
MonthCtrl.options[MonthCtrl.selectedIndex].value=='11'){
DaysCount=30;
}
DayCtrl.options.length=0;
var oOption;
for (var i=1;i<=DaysCount;i++){
oOption = document.createElement('option');
DayCtrl.options.add(oOption);
oOption.innerHTML=i;
oOption.value=i;
if (i==lastDayValue) oOption.selected=true;
}
}

var elSel = document.getElementById('selectX');
if (elSel.selectedIndex >= 0) {
var elOptNew = document.createElement('option');
elOptNew.text = 'Insert' + num;
elOptNew.value = 'insert' + num;
var elOptOld = elSel.options[elSel.selectedIndex];
try {
elSel.add(elOptNew, elOptOld); // standards compliant; doesn't work in IE
}
catch(ex) {
elSel.add(elOptNew, elSel.selectedIndex); // IE only
}
Thanks

I tried to connect in this way the javascript function to "OnSelectedIndexChanged" event hanlder. But Its not giving me any
thing. Means its not adding this "Javascript" function to the event. What may be the problem. If you can please help me by
giving some code snippet too please.

OnSelectedIndexChanged is a serverside event handler. The javascript corespondent in onChange .

Mention how many KB data you want to transfer(Max data upload limit) in <httpruntime> section in web.config file. The default is 4096KB.
<system.web>
<httpruntime maxrequestlength="size in kbytes">
....
Depending upon the size of amount of data transfer you may need to change/adjust the timeout also.

Chnage in httpRuntime section of web config file ... metion number of KB needed. like this ..
httpRuntime maxRequestLength="10000"
.... if you write above means you want maximun 10000 KB data to be transfered. Assume that angle bracket are there as per the structure of web config file.
NB: By default the maximum data that can be transffered is 4096 KB that means it looks like httpRuntime maxRequestLength="4096"

I want to show my error page in new page. Old page should still shows old data.
I write in applicationerror event in global, this:
response.write("window.open('errorpage.aspx')");
But there is a problem with it. The old page shows aspx error message displaying my code and exception. If I set custom error in config, my old page will be redirected to errorpage which is set in custom error tag.
If I use Server.ClearError() method, the old page will be cleared entirely and shows blank page.
I WANT MY OLD PAGE TO SHOW THE OLD DATA WITH USER CHANGES WHICH CAUSING ERROR AND THE NEW PAGE, SHOWS MY ERRORPAGE LIKE ERROR MESSAGE IN WINDOWS APPLICATION.
I don't want to handle my all errors by try catch. I want to handle all of them in allication error. Because I can find my latest exception by Server.GetLastError() method.
Please instruct me what to do.
Thanks

Hi all.
First, sorry for my bad english.
I'm searching for a tool that I can use to made my asp.net tests more quickly. Example:
Suppose that I have a web form that has several controls and a button "Save" to persist them into a database table.
I compile and run it on my web browser. I type the data for each control, select each dropdownlist, etc, etc. Then I click on "Save". At this point, at some logic on my code behind/business class I got an error (any type of error, logic, database, etc etc). I need to STOP de debugging, fix the bug and run the web form again on my web browser. With this, I'm going to thest my web form again. So, I need to type every data of my controls AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN whenever I got an error (it's a cycle, until I fix all the bugs). This sucks. I'm finding for a tool that "encapsulates" the POST data (everything: data that I typed on my controls, viewstate, etc, etc) and post it AUTOMATICALLY to my page (at server side). With this, I can test the logic IMMEDIATELY, with no need to type the SAME data again.
If you know some tool, please, help me.
Best Regards,
Marco Alves.

A month ago I opened a test account with Flickr. It required me to use a Yahoo mail account. I used an account that I have had for a long time. Everything was easy.
Today I decided to create a real account. I created a new Yahoo mail account to associate it with the new Flickr account. It was easy to create the new Yahoo account. But when I try to create a new Flickr account, it asks me to login into Yahoo. After I log in into the Yahoo account, A Flickr page comes back asking me "Why do you want to log into 'oldusername' with the 'newusername'" It seems Flickr has associated my computer with the old Yahoo mail/old Flickr account, and want let me create a new account.
Now that is a bit bothersome but I also can value the ability to not let a user use more than one account from the same computer.
So my question is: How does Flickr do it? I am sure it does not use cookies, as I cleared all the cookies and also tried to use another browser which I had never used to log into Flickr. In fact I read somewhere that other people have tried rebooting in Linux and Flickr still would recognize them with the old account. So it seems no windows registry either.
Any ideas?

My guess is that it sounds like they're associating usernames with IP addresses.

Hi.
I have to create parser(s) that will be able to parse xls, csv and txt files. All the files to parse are data from customers which has to be parsed, massaged and inserted into the database. The problem is that each customer presents its own format so I guess I have to build different parsers for each customer.
Did anyone have any experience with this? What would be the best approach? What should I use (beside VB.NET)? Any examples will be appreciated as well.
Thank you,
Alex.

Hello all,
I'm in the process of writing an HTTP Module that will determine the size of the response and display it. I'm pretty new the http module thing so there's probably a good way to do this that I haven't found yet, but I've tried everything I can think of. Here's what I have so far:
public class ResponseSizeHttpModule : IHttpModule
{
public int RespSize;
public void Init(HttpApplication application)
{
application.PreSendRequestHeaders += new EventHandler(this.ResponseCheck);
application.EndRequest += new EventHandler(this.ResponseMessage);
}
private void ResponseCheck(Object source, EventArgs e)
{
HttpApplication application = (HttpApplication)source;
HttpContext context = application.Context;
StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(context.Response.OutputStream);
reader.ReadToEnd();
reader.Close();
byte[] buffer = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(reader.ToString());
RespSize = buffer.Length;
}
private void ResponseMessage(Object source, EventArgs e)
{
HttpApplication application = (HttpApplication)source;
HttpContext context = application.Context;
context.Response.Write("Page size: " + RespSize + " bytes.");
}
public void Dispose(){}
}
So far, the message comes up but the page size is always 0, so that's not right. It's come to my attention that the bold part that OutputStream is write-only, if I understand this correctly. How would I go about intercepting what's being written to the OutputStream so I can determine its size? Like I said, my knowledge of this particular facet of .Net isn't all that great, so if anyone can recommend a good method or alternative, I'd be glad to hear it.
Thanks in advance,
Jan
