Nila
I got an email, but can't see your post. As I'm online, I thought I'd respond straight away.
I have the full version of VS2005 and I don't believe I set this project as a template - although I might have done unwittingly. I actually don't know how I would do that yet! (I'm very experience at VC++ in version 6 only and am crash-coursing in ASP.NET & C#!!)
I just loaded the project, watched the video and moved on.
thanks again

The common way of doing this is for the property setter to validate the value being passed to it and throw an exception if it is invalid. Natuarlly you would document what values are valid so that the developer using your class won't use them - but mistakes happen and in the exceptional case where an invalid value gets through the property setter throws an exception.
Depending on the scenario enumerators may be a good choice instead.

Hi,
I've written a vb.net and asp.net application which is using Crystal Report for output. The application was working fine.
I now need to update it a little. So I've reinstalled Visual Studio.net 2003 on my computer and launch my old solution.
I can run it and debug it as well, but everytime I want to run a report, I got the "#@#@ error message : CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LogOnException: Logon failed.
I've read many lines on internet explaining how to specifiy login user and password for SQL Server but I'm reading information for an access Database and parsing them to a dataset and then send the dataset to the report.
Here is my code :
<br />
mDS = New dsDecompte<br />
mStrSQL = "SELECT *, round(dfd_dedchange * dfd_prixachat;2) as DFD_PrixAchatEuro FROM vDecompte WHERE DFH_ID = " & CType(Session("ObjDevis"), Negoce.DevisFacHeader).devisID<br />
mDS = CType(Session("cobjConn"), Negoce.DataAccess).SelectBDD(mStrSQL, "vDecompte", mDS)<br />
<br />
myReport = New RPT_Decompte<br />
myReport.SetDataSource(mDS)<br />
myReport.ExportOptions.ExportDestinationType = CrystalDecisions.[Shared].ExportDestinationType.DiskFile<br />
myReport.ExportOptions.ExportFormatType = CrystalDecisions.[Shared].ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat<br />
DiskOpts.DiskFileName = "c:\negoce\decompte.pdf"<br />
myReport.ExportOptions.DestinationOptions = DiskOpts<br />
myReport.Export()<br />
I really don't know why it doesn't want to work as it was working before.
I would really appreciate as help as possible.
Thx
Cyril

Hello,
I am trying to integrate GoogleCheckout and working on to process order notifications sent by google...
Google sends order notifictaion in XML format as HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA.
I can retrive it in PHP as follows:
if(isset($GLOBALS["HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA"]) && $GLOBALS["HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA"] != "")
{
$msg.="<br>".$GLOBALS["HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA"];
}
Can anybody let me know its equivalent code in asp.net C# 2.0
Thanks in advance for all your help.

That would be Request.ServerVariables["HTTP_RAW_POST_DATA"] .

Dear friends,
Can I use any alternate for DSO Framer control to display document, excel, ppt, pdf etc files. I tried aspose too, but it was
not meeting our requirements. Because they want a tool which takes the documents as it is like DSO Framer. In aspose to
change the document format we need to change the code also.
And I need to email this document too. So that document may be changed so frequently. And dont forget that document must have
to be made using .Net frame work library(com component is not preferable). What shoud I use in this case. Please help me.
Thank you.

ASP.NET is a framework for developing web applications. There is no database access functionality in ASP.NET. If you wish to access the database you would be better looking at ADO.NET - That is the part of the .NET framework that is concerned with databases.

I have a web site written with visual studio .net2003 (c#). I installed the professional version of the visual studio .net2005 and upgrade the web project. After the upgrade conversion, I did not see the bin directory under the web directory. I tried to create a new web site using the 2005, I did not see the bin directory either. So what happened. The actual web site is hosted by a web hosting company and I can only access the web root dir using ftp or front page extension. After I upgrade the web and rebuild the project on my local computer, then I transfered everything to the remote site. Some of the web page can not be opened. Could someone help me how to resolve my problem. Thanks a lot in advance.

There is a step missing. Did you test it on your local machine first? Did you even run it on your local machine?

.net 2005 uses a different compilation mode, called dynamic compilation. In .net2003, the compilation was handled by Visual Studio and the result was a dll in the bin folder. With .net2005, ASP.NET handles the compilation "on-the-fly" and therefore there is no dll.
But there is a new add-in (now part of Visual Studio 2005 SP1) called Web Application Projects which allows you to use the same compilation mode used in .net2003; a dll is compiled by VS and placed in the bin folder. One major reason for the creation of this add-in was to assist in the upgrading of .net2003 projects to .net2005.
http://ASP.NET has an article regarding the Web Application Projects on there home page.

I don't know how to alert the user that he has reached the limited characters count of the TextBox, using the Validation Controls!
I used the RangeValidator and set the Type to string, set the MinimumValue to 1 and the MaximumValue to 255, but it works incorrect, I also used the RegularExpression using the [\ws]{1,255} string, but doesn't work! I'm not good at RegularExpression can anyone help please?

I have used the MaxLength but it doesn't have any effect! I still can write more that the MaxLenght!
In the Solution Explorer right-click the second nude from the top and add a folder, then simply drag and drop your pages to it in the solution explorer and the visual studio will change all the links you have mad to these pages!
