Dear Sir,
Thanks for your dedicated replies. Thank a lot. Now I have one more question and it is not being cleared by anybody, if you have Idea please tell me.
Could you please help me in this regard. What I need is this,
1. I want a .net User Interface to display office files(word, excel etc.).
So that I can put it in my web page to display office files. Similar to
DSO Framer control, but DSO Framer control is an activeX control made by using un-managed code.
But I need a similar UI, made by using .Net Framework. Doesnt itlook good. Could you please help me in this regard. Please, and one more question, in which part of India(great) you belong.
Thank you.

Hi All,
EmpPhoto is an FileUpload control.
string fn = System.IO.Path.GetFileName(EmpPhoto.PostedFile.FileName);
string SaveLocation = Server.MapPath("UploadImages") + "\\" + fn;
EmpPhoto.PostedFile.SaveAs(SaveLocation);
In my local machine, It works fine and file is saved in my Local server. BUT when I have tested from Wes Site, the file is not saved in that "UploadImages" folder (in fact it stores no where).
What is the wrong with me? Can anyone guide me?
Regards,
Jay

Hi Jay:
I guess the problem is related to the ASP.NET account's permission...you might check it...
<< >>
|
|
|
|
|
Yes, I checked for the WRITE permission for the folder "UploadImages". It doen't have that Permission. I dont know hoe to give the permission also. In my Control panel of my server, there is NO option to give the permission.

Jay

You can check the write permission in IIS configuration for your website...
<< >>
|
|
|
|
|
Give the write permission to the IUSR_<MACHINENAME> and try...
|
|
|
|
|
Yes, the permission is the problem. I have grant the permission, Now it works fine

Add Items using ListItem object. See the example below,
DropDownList1.Items.Add(new ListItem(Sname,Sno))

It depends on how you seperate the first and second items...such as basing on the space character...

Hello All,
I need urgent help;
I need to design a report which has a more width then normal reports so have to use the 132 column page (14 inch wide) and dot matrix printer.
Now the problem is that report has font size 8, designed in crystal report but its print is not coming readable because its printing as a bitmaps.
For printing small fonts in dot matrix, I found out that; if we print from dos then its printing as a text(not bitmap) so the printing comes fine.
Now I need to design report which can be convertable on txt files with proper spacing between columns and rows.
That same thing is provided in oracl* report builder with a template name "character report" and those can be convertable in txt files.
Any please give some suggestions or solutions.
Regards,
Haseeb Mukhtar.
