We have a .NET 2.0 project which is using wizarded Datasets. There are four stored procedures that return tables (as opposed to scalar values). One stored procedure when wizarded goes into its own datatable table. However, the other ones go into QueriesTableAdapter. I cannot for the life of me figure out what is different about them. I tried verifying that SET NOCOUNT ON was set, it was set on all of them. I tested to make sure that the SPs ran with no errors, they did. Two of the SPs are almost identical. Why are they going into that adapter? I was under the impression that adapter was for scalar-valued SPs or for ad hoc queries.
Is there any way to force the SPs into their own table? I thought about editing the partial class to add them, but it's a lot of painful handcoding and makes it hard to maintain, so I would like to avoid it.
Thanks!

Hey all..
i'm sort of new to this..but please help me on this one...
i'm trying to find a program that can handle a three way connection between 3 or more laptops. more specifically, i need every node to be able to receive messages from other node and then forward them to the nodes that havent received it yet. the case that i'm trying to handle is the hidden station problem in the case of a wireless ad hoc network between 3 or more laptops or nodes. if a node sends a message to another node, i need the receiving node to forward that message to the nodes that its connected to that are not in turn connected to the original sending node.
if no such application exists...which i doubt..but i cant find one anyway...at least tell me what i should be looking for.
thx!
Ghassan.

1>I have to retrive and display images that are present in a MS Access Database.
2>The images have been inserted in the database by the user by using the Insert Object Functionality of MS Access so the Image is displayed as Bitmap Image for .BMP and Package for .JPEG in the DataBase Image Field.
3>I have tried reading the data in a Byte Array and then display it but it dosent work that way.
//Obtain Image in a byte array
byImageArray = (byte[])Command.ExecuteScalar();
//Read the byte array to memory stream
MemoryStream memStream = new MemoryStream(byImageArray);
//Read Image from the memory stream into picture box.
picImage.Image=Image.FromStream(memStream);
An exception is thrown is Argument Exception:Parameter is not valid.
This code works fine if we store image in DataBase Programmitically by using Byte Array,but not when we access a image that had been directly in the table by user by using Insert Object Functionality of MS Access

Insert object "wraps" the image with an object 'container'. You'll have to work out how big the header is, and skip over the header bytes. You might also need to ignore some trailing bytes. You should be able to tell if the image was wrapped or not by looking at the first few (dozen or so) bytes - I think the header is reasonably consistent.

I am working on a reverse or re-engineering project that requires me to parse the C++ code completely into tokens. I can go the lex yacc way but it will not suit the time frame I have. I decided to to go for a XML extension of GCC called the GCC_XML available www.gccxml.org. i want to use this tool from a Windows C# based application and then detect design patterns from the paresed C++ file that has been converted to XML. How do I use the GCCxml in my C# application if the command line syntax to obtain the XML from C++ file is
gccxml foo.cpp --fxml= foo.xml
Assume I want to have a front end to this gccxml compiler.

Take a look at the Process class especially the Start method.

Here's one way:

Like the other two examples have said, you need to update the Font's underline characteristic. With a Textbox, however, you cannot underline specific text, just all or none. RichTextBoxes allow other functionality. Check out the MSDN pages on them if you'd like more information.

Hi everybody, can we use c# to build device drivers, or we must stick to c++?
|
|
|
|
|
You don't have to, however, as most of your code will be unmanaged you might as well use C++.
only two letters away from being an asset
|
|
|
|
|
As C++, C# is advance of C++ so whatever we can do with C++ can also be done through C#

Uhhh...No, it's not. And you do NOT want to write drivers in C#. There's too much you have to rewrite in C# code, plus the overhead of the MASSIVE amount of P/Invoking and Interop you'll have to do.
Like the other poster said, it's not worth it because most of the resulting code will be unmanaged anyway. So why go through the huge hassle of converting the DDK to support C# when you're not really going to use the .NET Framework anyway?

I recommend buying a book on C#. C# is a step forward frm JAva. It has little to do with C++.

There is no way one would want to do this, since it would cause the driver to incur the overhaed of loading the CLR. Drivers should be written in C++, not C# or managed C++.

Hi,
Here is my code:
Form_Leave()
{
this.Opacity = 0.5;
}
Form_Enter()
{
this.Opacity = 1;
}
If I have 10 controls in my form, I need to add this Form event handler to each and every controls in the form. And when I do that when Mouse_Leave and Mouse_Enter occur my form get flickering.
Is there any other way to avoid flickering and adding event hander to each and every contol.
Thanks in advance
Muthu.

Use SuspendLayout() , do what you have to do, ResumeLayout() (and eventually Refresh() )

I still have flickering even after using Suspend/Resume Layout.
