The best way to do this is to create a deployment project (Full install program) using vb.net
Your problem is that the .exe when complied save all information like file paths. Both computers would have to be setup identically, directories and all.
The books you got with vb.net have an example of how to create a deployment project. It's a bit of a long process to type in here.
Good Luck

are u talking about packaging? if not..once you have build your project, an exe file is created in your bin foldler, check it out..if you are considering packaging the program for deployment, then thats a different process... let me know if thats what you want.
check your bin folder which is located in the folder where all your files is been saved.

You use the WithEvents keyword when your declaring an instance of a class that generates events that you're going to handle.

1.Add the deployment project i ur application.
2.then add the primary output to ur setup project.
3.Then add the Merge Module.
4.Then add shortcut to the user desktop folder.
5.Build the setup
Finally u will find the setup file into the debug folder of setup
Hope this may help u.

javascript has regex, so does .NET. Just use a regular expression.

This should do it
Function IsValidEmail(strIn As String) As Boolean
' Return true if strIn is in valid e-mail format.
Return Regex.IsMatch(strIn, "^([\w-\.]+)@((\[[0-9]{1,3}\.[0-9]{1,3}\.[0-9]{1,3}\.)|(([\w-]+\.)+))([a-zA-Z]{2,4}|[0-9]{1,3})(\]?)$")
End Function
