You need to check the option to not render tags for your code to be visible.

maybe you can see the html source code and find out the control's ID
foreach (Control ctrl in YourControlName.Controls)
{
Response.Write(ctrl.ID+ "||");
}

I have a very small site where I want to have a section of the page be editable by the user. The requirement is that the user could edit a file on a share, save it and the content would show up.
I thought about creating an XML document and have a link and text nodes. I would suck this into the application and display it. Is this a bad approach? Is there an easier way to do this? The content won't hold anything but links and text. Thanks.

So is the timeout parameter in Web.config what you'd change to allow users to stay connected longer without being logged out?
And set slidingExpiration = true (I assume you're talking about <authentication><forms... element, right?). I have timeout set to a really high number.
I'm also using the <roleManager> , and I have cookieTimeout set to a high value, and cookieSlidingExpiration set to true .
I'm not sure if this is exactly what's required to persist logins between sessions, but this particular setup has worked for me.

I think cookieSlidingExpiration is what I'm after.

if you popup window in client side use javascript or vbscript, you cann't get the object value in session for the parent page. you must post back the page and get the object value in session.

I'm using the following code to print a report from a reportserver to the default printer on a remote client machine. It works when I print from the development IDE on the server but when I run it thru IE on the remote client machine, the report is not printed. Any ideas as to where I may be going wrong?
